Arriving at Midvale Estate with Unbound and uncontrolled Legacy magic, Penelope must compete under glittering chandeliers with heirs from each of the five ruling Houses, their whispered scandals and smiles sharp enough to draw blood.

Her goal is simple: uncover her sister’s attacker, get the antidote, and save her house from ruin, before she is voted out or her identity discovered.

Between her sister’s betrothed watching closely, and the golden heir’s charms disarming her every move, Penelope’s facade begins to unravel.

But when a handsome and seductive lord offers her a bargain as tempting as it is dangerous, Penelope finds herself deep in a game she was never meant to play, with every forbidden desire she has tried to bury, threatening to destroy her.

THIS WRETCHED ALCHEMY is an epic, adult gladiator x fullmetal alchemist dark romantasy where the throne isn’t inherited, it’s hunted in blood. She’s the only one not playing to win, but to ensure the realm’s deadliest alchemist dies before he can claim it.

We are counting down to the @harpervoyager_uk TWA cover reveal so watch this space & join my newsletter 👀

She was sent to kill him…soooo naturally, nothing could possibly go wrong, right?? RIGHT?! 🤭

So happy to have been able to read an eARC and be part of the street team for The Wretched Alchemy. If you haven’t preordered TWA yet, you should definitely rethink your choices, because who wouldn’t want to be ruined by @tinamarsbooks ???

Also, can we take a step back and just admire the artwork by @eyasei_ and @bookwyrm because IM OBSESSED!! 😍

Some might say gladiator meets Fullmetal Alchemist is “too niche” but idk why don’t you see for yourself?

Rival House heirs compete to inherit the throne, but our 26 yr old alchemist just wants to kill the heir favored to win before he can claim it.

(THIS WRETCHED ALCHEMY is on netgalley in the us & canada)

💙 Meet Juliette Grimsorrow 💙

The chosen heir.
The perfect daughter.
The future of House Grimsorrow.

Poisoned into a deadly sleep on the eve of the Legacy Trials.

She’s the sister Penelope would risk everything to save 🖤

✨Another stunning piece by @eyasei_ 🥰🥰 she has done such a beautiful job capturing the differences between the Grimsorrow sisters and I couldn’t be more grateful to have worked with such a talented artist on this project!!✨

The night before the Legacy Trials, Juliette is put into a deadly sleep.

To uncover who did it, her twin sister steals her identity and takes her place among the High Realm’s most dangerous heirs.

What could possibly go wrong? 🤭🖤

✨ Meet Finn Winchester ✨

Golden retriever energy.
Incredibly charming.
Far too handsome for his own good.

Finn is the kind of heir who can talk his way into a party, out of trouble, and directly into your heart before you realise what’s happening 🤭🤭

(Which would be less concerning if he wasn’t wandering into a competition built on lies, secrets, and sabotage 🗝️🥀✨)

☀️Another stunning piece by @eyasei_ ☀️thank you for creating this gorgeous artwork!!! Eyasei was such a pleasure to work with!! So talented and professional, and I highly recommend you check out her other work!!🥰🥰

🖤 Meet Bastian Hawthorne 🖤

✔️ Grumpy
✔️ Powerful
✔️ Chronically concerned by Penelope’s decision-making

Bastian likes rules, discipline, and plans that don’t end in disaster.

Penelope likes none of those things.

He’s convinced she’s trying to ruin their House’s alliance.

She’s convinced he might have tried to kill her sister.
