🍩🚲 Five years ago, Donut Ride started as a simple idea: an excuse to get out on bikes and end up at Supernatural Food & Wine for donuts.

March 17, 2021. A handful of familiar faces. A short route. No expectations for what it might become.

Looking back at this footage from those early months, what stands out most are the people - the smiles, the post-ride donuts, and the friendships that were just beginning to take shape. Some of those faces are still here every week. Some have moved away, some ride less often, and some we only see every now and then. But they’re all part of the story of how this ride came to be.

What began as a midweek spin somehow turned into a tradition. Five years of early alarms, group rollouts, new riders joining for the first time, and plenty of donuts.

And fittingly, this week is also the 5th anniversary of Supernatural. From the very beginning they welcomed a group of sweaty cyclists showing up for donuts and coffee, and they’ve been part of this ride ever since. We’re proud to have supported them over the years, just as they’ve supported our little community.

To everyone who showed up in those early days - and everyone who’s joined since - thanks for being part of it.

Hot dog @bikehaustampa is back!

Come out tonight and help us celebrate the official re-opening of Bike Haus. @fixedgearjesus took some time exploring and living out of the country but decided he missed Tampa’s bike community enough to move back home 🥲

Jorge has been a pillar in our community between hosting rides like Slonuts ~ to helping us remember to take the scenic route and have some damn fun. We are so happy to see him return! Make sure to come out tonight and help give him one heck of a homecoming, and hey why not schedule a tuneup with him while you’re at it 😏
