“Focus on what you can control which is the step in front of you.“ Today I participated in an amazing event organized by @katieward_ski. Katie started the six hour Relentless Run and Ruck with these words and this became my mindset. I also did this event without listening to music, podcasts, or books. Instead I connected with community, nature, and myself. After completing this event, I am feeling a sense of gratitude in community and for the generosity of spirit of others. As Katie has said in her podcast, gyms [and fitness spaces like today] are becoming a third space where people connect and experience community. I am grateful for all the spaces that I find community and fitness.

Baseline fitness assessment as part of the Power Track of the F45 Challenge was humbling. I have concrete goals for increasing strength in this training block. Deadlifts are always a joy to do. Bench was okay. First set of barbell back squats in six years was humbling. Shout out to @coachjag.singh for pushing me to think more holistically about strength, conditioning, AND recovery. This is why I appreciate the team @f45_training_saugus

HYROX Boston 2026 - thank you! 🤍

What an incredible experience. Training for this race over the last two and a half months has been remarkable and truly transformative, fueled by an amazing community at @f45_training_saugus that’s become like family (plus lots of passport visits and outdoor walks and runs).

I couldn’t be more proud of my partner and I for what we accomplished. We finished in the top 27% in our category but beyond the result, what I gained through this process is physical, mental, and spiritual endurance, and a renewed love for sport.

I’ve officially caught the bug, so I’ll be competing in Chicago this February with one goal: cut my time significantly. More soon! 🏁

HYROX Boston 🏁

So proud of myself for pushing outside my comfort zone, showing up, and proving to myself that I can do hard things. This was a reminder of what happens when you commit to yourself and trust the work you put in. Couldn’t have asked for a better partner than @dartmurph2 to take this on with me! And thank you @f45_training_saugus for giving us the tools to succeed❤️

Here’s to pushing limits, challenging ourselves, and continuing to do things that scare us a little. One proud moment I’ll never forget! 🫶🏼

HYROX BOSTON 2026!

Oct 10, 2026 will hold a special place in my heart. It was the culmination of nearly 6 months of hard work and dedication. I lucked out with @sydneyspiess being my coach and guide (I call her my lighthouse) at every single step and being an integral part of turning an idea into reality. I pushed beyond my limits, stumbled along the way but always got back up and persevered, learned to enjoy the process and came away grateful & happy at the end of the day! Thank you @sydneyspiess for always having my back!

It was also special because I had my wife @_bhag_ there to cheer me on. Thank you love, your support means the world to me.

What a beautiful journey this was.

Is it the end? Probably not 🤷🏽‍♂️😄

HYROX BOSTON 2026 🏁

I am so happy to have completed my first HYROX, all thanks to an idea @aniket_mohgaonkar had earlier this year.

What started as a simple idea turned into a reality that I’m so grateful to have been a part of. We trained hard for months, pushed ourselves beyond what we thought we were capable of, and unlocked new possibilities and achievements along the way.

It’s amazing to think that none of this would have happened without simply deciding to give something new a try.

A reminder of how much can happen when you step outside your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and see what you’re capable of.

Here’s to the first of many! 💪🏼
