🥥 Tropical Takeover Popup 🏺 NCECA 2026 🌴 Wed March 25 from 6-9 PM 🍍At @meantimeoncass in Detroit, MI 🍹Sponsored by @weissdistillingco ARTIST INTROS: Francesca “Chess” Smith 🌴 If Chess were a tropical animal, she would be a parrot! She is joining us from St Augustine, Florida. As a Colombian American, Chess feels lucky to have been exposed to Pre-Colombian motifs through the artists in her family. She draws inspiration from these classical designs for both handbuilt sculptural pieces, and line work decorations for thrown pieces. 🍍 Chess will be bringing bud vases, shot glasses & animal vessels/flasks inspired by Moche vessels of Peru having been known to carry Chicha, a fermented corn bevy (Chicha not included, sadly!) #ceramics #nceca2026 #chicha

THEE MAP! This map really makes us realize how epic of a line-up we get to be a part of! Major thanks to @alleeceramics for her community wrangling and spreadsheet tackling skills. This is such an amazing array of pottery pop-ups! Those who are brave enough to hit every one of these events: there is a prize at the end of the rainbow for you! Be sure to stop & say hi to our friend @jesboothartist and get your Clay & Cocktails stamp on the backside of this flyer as proof! She will be set-up near the entrance. Can't wait to party with ya'll and cheers to clay things!
