Our “Christmas In July” (CIJ) event is fast approaching & our committee has been working diligently to host our best summer event yet.

Our CIJ is an annual affair where children & families gather for fun, fellowship, food & games & leave with their school supplies, uniforms, shoes & backpacks. It’s our way to make sure they are ready for “Back to School”. 📚✏️🎒

Thank you for supporting our year-round efforts to serve the most deserving children & families. ❤️💚

We are so sad to say good-bye to our beautiful Twelve Days of Christmas sister, Cynthia Hearn Roy. She shined in everything she did and created a lasting legacy that we will always honor and cherish. Voted Oakland Chapter’s Member of the Year 2023, Cynthia made a lasting impression on the families she served and the sisterly friendships she cultivated. Sending so much love to our Twelve Days Oakland Chapter and prayers of comfort to her lovely family. She will truly be missed and always remembered.

May our dear Cynthia rest forever in heavenly power and peace. 💔🙏🏼❤️🕊️

Juneteenth honors the enduring spirit of freedom and the promise of a more just future. Celebrated on June 19th, it commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas were informed of their emancipation. As we celebrate Juneteenth, we recognize the resilience and contributions of generations who helped shape our nation while reflecting on the ongoing pursuit of equality, unity and opportunity for all.

Happy Juneteenth!!! ❤️💛💚

A few months later, I’m still reflecting on the beauty, purpose, and impact of the Fort Bend County Chapter’s 30th Anniversary Emerald Splendor Luncheon. It was an honor to serve as Chair of this historic celebration.

For the first time in our chapter’s history, we collectively raised nearly $200,000 to support scholarships, local programs, and community initiatives .

A powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when leadership, vision, faith, hard work, and collective effort align.

One of the most meaningful moments of the event was hearing from an accomplished scholarship recipient and NSBE Jr. participants whose educational and career journeys have been shaped through our chapter’s work.

Their stories allowed our guests to witness the lasting impact of investing in the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Leading the vision, strategy, and programming for this milestone celebration was a meaningful and purposeful experience.

Thank you to the charter members, chapter members who trusted the vision, Emerald Splendor Planning Committee, Fund Development Committee, sponsors, donors, supporters, attendees, and community partners. Your commitment, generosity, and belief in our mission helped make this historic achievement possible.

Together, we celebrated 30 years of friendship and service while laying the foundation for an even greater future of impact, excellence, and opportunity.

Special THANK YOU to @hiramstyle for the stunning floral designs and decor! Thank you for sharing your talent and endless time! Love you!!
