And we have scrap quilt top #6! This one was made from FQs in my stash. Most of them came in a FQ advent calendar from @fabricandreason in 2024. The 8” sawtooth star block instructions were from the 2025 Summer Scrap Bash by @loandbeholdstitchery . Each pair of FQs made two pairs of mirrored blocks. See if you can spy the twins!

This is my fourth quilt to go in the closet ready for basting. But, since I live in VA and baste in the garage (no HVAC), basting has been on hold in this heat. Hopefully soon I’ll have an assembly line day to get them all ready for the Q16! I’ve been making bindings, choosing quilting patterns and thread. So, when it cools down a bit, I’ll be ready!

This beautiful ring of fat quarters is the gift of joy I received in my advent calendar from @fabricandreason . It’s such a beautifully curated bundle I’m going to supplement it a bit and make a scrappy Sawtooth Star quilt in 2025. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Gina for this fun adventure!

Feeling overwhelmed in the best way.

I have a seemingly long to do list and usually that would give me a bit of anxiety but something inside of me today told me to step back and look. Look at every single person on the list and what they’ve asked of me. These are people who trust me with their visions. These are people who love the art I create. These are people who have invested a piece of their livelihoods with the work I am so lucky to create.

As I dive into the busy season, I want to thank you for being in the passenger seat of the car I’m driving. You’re the ultimate co-pilot and the ones who keep me excited for road trip even when I have no idea where I’m going.

Thank for the community we have built together and for the ripples of joy I hope we can continue to create as we move into holiday 2024.

My new #pembinabackpack ❣️ I finished this JUST before we left for our Airstream adventure on the eastern shore, also known as the DelMarVa peninsula. I made this for hiking/day trip excursions to carry snacks, water, etc. And because I used a soft quilt batting it folds up small for storage when traveling! The design is perfect! It fits well and is comfortable over my shoulders! You can find his well written pattern @theblanketstatement !

The fabric is special too. It is from the Along the Trail collection designed by my neighbor Gina of @fabricandreason . Her inspiration was the walking and biking trails behind our neighborhood where I walk my dogs daily. So, I get to carry a piece of home everywhere we travel on our adventures. 🥰 The fabric is available @spoonflower where I used their Fill-a-yard feature to get just what I need for this fun color block rendition! I chose the #signaturepetalcotton which is perfect for bag making!! I used leftovers from one of my favorite quilt battings #quiltersdreamblendbatting .
