That fresh start, new stack of fabric feeling. ❤️

I chose this lovely stack of solids for a quilt for my daughter’s teacher. She loves the mountains, being outside, and the color green. The end of the school year is approaching and a quilt with a deadline is exactly the project I need to keep me on track!

Oh, and I’m finally using the West Hawk Quilt pattern by @theblanketstatement ! Time to do some cutting!

🌸 Flower Tile Quilt 🌼

I started this quilt months ago, joyfully oblivious to a major life event that was approaching. Sitting back down at my machine this weekend and finishing this top reawakened something in me. I feel like I found my creativity again.

One of my favorite parts of quilting is mixing and matching pieces for blocks! I usually do this pretty randomly and just see what happens. Sometimes I need to switch things around and sometimes I don’t!

In 2020, when the world was starting to shut down, I purchased this stack of Beauty and the Beast fat quarters and Kona cotton from @fabricbubb to make a @thencamejune Flower Tile quilt.

Well, life happened, I started a business, and this fabric has been in a closet for 5+ years. I’m so glad fabric doesn’t have an expiration date! Time to get this project started!
