FOMO. I'm not going to lie 👀

The races, the adventures, the athletic goals that were marked in the cal but haven't quite made it onto the boarding pass this year.

It's been a wild one. A huge step forward professionally, a whole new world of work and opportunity. Alongside it came some difficult decisions about where I put my own athletic ambitions.

I've had to say no to races I wanted to do, adventures I wanted to chase and goals I'd been working towards. Building something new has asked for a different kind of commitment while the athlete in me waits her turn.

And if I'm honest, I'm missing that competative part of my life right now.

I know priorities shift and you find your rhythm again. I'm still learning how to navigate this beautiful, challenging, global, agile existence I've created for myself. I'll get there.

I'm not shifting down. I'm shifting up. I've always believed that the person you train is the person you become. The discipline and curiosity that sport builds come with you into every room and every challenge.

Right now I'm bringing that world of high performance into other domains, working with some of the most exquisite performers on the planet and helping them optimise their performance and sustain it for the long term, and what a privilege that is.

The athlete and the professional have always been the same person, so the athlete comes along for the ride wherever life takes me.

So yes, there's a little FOMO. There's also a lot of gratitude and a healthy dose of ambition.

The bike will be there. And so will I 🚴‍♀️

IRONMAN AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 PORT MACQUARIE 2026

We walk away from Port with new PBs of 10:12 & 10:13, but still a way off where we thought — and knew — we could be. Nevertheless, plenty of positives to take away, lessons to learn and room to grow for the future.
The nature of the Ironman beast that keeps bringing you back 🤜🏻🤛🏻

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us in Port or from afar. Your support definitely makes a tough day that little bit easier. As always, a special mention to Mum @sarahleonb for following not only us around the course, but Dad as well ❤️💙

One of the big goals I wrote down for 2026 was to help more CINCH riders get to Worlds in Australia, get my husband there after his amputation, and somehow get myself there too, despite everything on my plate and the tiny humans I’m raising.

A lot happened between writing that down and actually getting there. But standing in a feed zone in Nannup, bottles in hand, waiting for our riders to come around the corner, I had a minute to think about how cool it was that we made it happen.

Between coaching, making meals and pancakes, and helping keep everyone fueled and ready to race, the week flew by. Tom brought home bronze 🥉 So proud of him and our CINCH athletes, and happy I got to be part of it all.

Pretty cool that we get to keep chasing things like rainbow jerseys at any age.

Nannup had the nicest people and beautiful riding. Pretty sure I never would have ended up there without cycling.

I came to support our riders and left wanting to race again myself.

We had about 10 CINCH riders at Worlds this year. Next year I’d love to triple that number, bring more of our family along and come home with a rainbow jersey 🌈

“Yeah, but does it work as a road bike?”

This morning, Selene answered that one herself. ⚡️

The Factor ELARA, swapped onto Zipp 303 S wheels and 28 mm road tyres. I took her out solo, and she felt completely at home on the road.

She’s still my gravel bike. That’s the fun part.

2026 UCI Gravel World Championships 🌈– Nannup WA 🇦🇺

Placed 31st/100 riders in the 19–34 age group, and upon reflection a week post race…a result I can be proud of.

Work life, home life and training… it can be done but at a cost, there’s certainly a tax owed to @geedooley ❤️ thank you!

Thanks to ‘my crew’ of riders who keep me motivated. Whilst reflecting I realised the reason I ended up back on the bike is because of how much I enjoy the social side. I haven’t lost sight of that.

Regardless of the result, having the opportunity to race against some of the world’s best and represent Australia is something I’ll never take for granted. Poised front row was a bloody dream come true, and a result of hard work. A pretty special experience and one that’s etched. 🇦🇺💚💛
