bol ke lab azaad hai tere!

a poem by faiz saab @faizfoundation

full video on my youtube channel and following reels will be the remaining parts of this composition 🔥
video credit - Ankit Mehrotra (@biskoot_charlie)
.
Bol, ke lab azaad hai tere:
Bol, zabaan ab tak teri hai,
Tera sutwan jism hai tera -
Bol, ke jaan ab tak teri hai.

Dekh ke aahangar ki dukaan mein
Tund hai shu’le, surkh hai aahan,
Khulne-lage quflon ke dahane,
Phaila hare k zanjeer ka daaman.

Bol, ye thora waqt bahut hai,
Jism o zabaan ki maut se pahle;
Bol, ke sach zinda hai ab tak –
Bol, jo kuchh kahna hai kah-le!

THIS is exactly why i admire hamza so much 😭🤍 the way he uses his voice to stand for girls’ education and women’s respect is genuinely so beautiful. he’s always been vocal about these things, and seeing him raise awareness for such an important cause makes me SO proud of him. 🥹🫶🏻 education can change lives, and every girl deserves the chance to learn, dream big, and build her own future. hamza, you’re not just winning hearts with your talent, you’re making us admire the person you are even more. THIS is the kind of impact that matters. 🤍✨

My only thought behind this edit was to celebrate and appreciate him for his efforts beyond the work he does onscreen. I’ve always wanted to see him go beyond the screen and use his voice for a cause that matters. Seeing him stand alongside such legendary names and speak up for girls rights makes me even prouder to be his fan. 🤍 May you continue to be part of more initiatives like these, @hamzasohail_96

ہم آخر منا کیا رہے ہیں؟
What are we really celebrating?
Some questions are uncomfortable, and that’s exactly why we need to ask them.

This International Day of the Girl, we celebrate every girl who dares to learn, to dream and to lead, and we call on all of us to invest in girls, in their education and in their future.

A message by Malala Fund in collaboration with Faiz Foundation.

An evening celebrating Faiz Ahmed Faiz (1911–1984) poetry, music, peace and unity. 🕊️

From Sialkot to the world, Faiz’s words crossed borders and generations. His own life connected Pakistan and Britain through Alys Faiz (born Alys George), his British-born wife, whose life and story became deeply intertwined with Pakistan.

A beautiful evening of poetry and music at the Faiz Am’n Mela at SOAS London, celebrating a legacy that continues to bring people together.

Jeremy Corbyn MP also joined the Faiz Peace Festival, sharing its message of peace and solidarity, and reciting a poem by Faiz. 🕊️

Love. Resistance. Hope. Peace.
Faiz’s words still feel just as relevant today. #FaizAhmedFaiz #UrduPoetry #BritishPakistani PakistaniCulture PoetryForPeace 🕊️❤️
