I’m so excited to have a small part in this year’s @brooklynshowhouse. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the appliqué I created for my friend @interiorsbyrachaelrosenblum. I was delighted she asked me to make something for this valance. I love how this dreamy space came together. Congratulations, Rachael! ❤️

like my grandma evelyn, I’ve always appreciated a little whimsy woven into the home: the tiny little details, the unexpected magic moments, the patterns that make you look twice.💫

I’ll choose a home with personality every single time. ✨ because good design doesn’t have to be serious to be thoughtful - it just has to tell your story (or inspire you to tell it a little louder).

wtf is designing your house for someone else’s standards?

why should the walls get to have all the fun? ✨

I love finding little opportunities to make a room feel more special, and ceilings + windows happen to be two of my favorites. a patterned ceiling, an unexpected color, beautiful trim, layers of fabric, a tiny bow detail… those are the things that give a room its personality.

because sometimes the best part of a room is above your head or hiding in the details around the window. 🎀

consider this your sign to look up, look around, and have a little more fun with your space. 🤍

Whenever a client says they want to choose a wallpaper that the next buyer will like, I step right up onto my soapbox.

There’s no universal wallpaper that every future home owner will love. So you might as well choose something you love living with right now and in a few years down the road, you can always grab a spray bottle take it off and start fresh.

Art is personal. Wallpaper is art. Pick from your heart.

Steps off soapbox.

For me, design goes much deeper than selecting beautiful finishes and furnishings. It's about creating environments that nurture the soul, shift energy, and help people move forward with hope, comfort, and intention.

Me: "What made you finally decide to pull the trigger on this project?"
My client: "I had been considering it for a few years and the space was increasingly not reflecting mine and my family’s evolution. The wall colors and dated tile and cabinetry didn’t resonate with me the way that I wanted my home to, although I always remained grateful for the house where my children spent so much of their childhood. When I saw a glowing review about you and your talents, I knew it was time to have the conversation with a professional. Your vision and enthusiasm for transforming my family’s main living space, along with your expertise, made me comfortable in knowing that I would get through the chaos of a remodel with amazing results … and I was right to follow my instincts!"

Don't just fill your space, FEEL your space.
