October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a powerful reminder to slow down, nourish our minds, and check in on our bodies. Today, I’m leaning into the healing power of nature—whether that’s through a beautiful fictional landscape, a comforting holistic cookbook, or a deeply moving real-life memoir.

There is an incredible, quiet strength in the natural world, much like the inspiring resilience of everyone breast cancer has touched. Today, take a deep breath, head outside if you can, and please remember to check yourself.

Nature can be very soothing - I chose books that have nature elements on the covers as well as books that embody the themes in the story.

QOTD: Are you someone who connects to nature? I’m not very outdoorsy but I do find being outside soothing.

❤️Something wicked… with a side of ocean waves. 🌊

Currently reading Something Wicked by @falonballard in the Bahamas, and it’s SO GOOD. Macbeth meets Moulin Rouge? That’s coming to the beach with me. Thank you to @thebooklaunchclub for this beautiful book!

A revolution has toppled the monarchy, but entering the race for president comes with a deadly requirement: kill your province’s former ruler. For Callum, that means his own father. He turns to Cate, a courtesan whose magic can manipulate emotions, to help him face the task—but their reluctant alliance brings unwanted attraction, dangerous secrets, and more at stake than either expected.

Leaving the ocean sounds on so you can enjoy a little beach break with me. ☀️

🥀Now available in paperback- Read now before the next book in the series, “What Light Breaks” comes out in December!!

❓QOTD: What’s your current read—and would you bring it to the beach?

🥀💋 𝕮𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝖉’𝖎𝖓𝖈𝖆𝖓𝖙𝖔 - 𝕱𝖆𝖑𝖔𝖓 𝕭𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖆𝖗𝖉 🥀💋

We're officially at the point in the year where adding books to the TBR is no longer an option. It's time to prioritize.

Katy has 10 books she's determined to finish before 2027, including witchy mysteries, holiday murders, fantasy, and some very ambitious fantasy reads.

No further book recommendations will be accepted at this time. Please respect her boundaries.

What's the one book you're absolutely determined to read before the end of the year?

I LOVE when a book has a strong bestie character! As someone lucky enough to have had the same besties for over 40 years it brings me so much joy when that level of friendship is written on the page. 🥰
Here are some of my faves…

#spicyromance
#bookrecs

Naomi knows Dolly is not a risk taker but when her friend starts a fake relationship she is here for it! She thinks this could be just what Dolly needs. 👯‍♀️

Cami has believed in Josie from the beginning and worked alongside her every step of the way. But she knows it’s time for Josie to start believing in herself, too. No matter what, Cami will always be there as her friend and confidant. 👯‍♀️

Whitney remembers how badly Will broke Fern’s heart when they were young. Now that he’s back, she wants to be happy for her best friend, but she can’t help wondering if Will can be trusted not to hurt her all over again. 👯‍♀️

Maddy knows the way Emma grew up and is there for her when things get bad. She is the closest person to family and will always be there for her. 👯‍♀️

Harlow loves Lola fiercely and will never let her forget how hard she’s worked for her success or doubt the love Oliver has always had for her. She’s the ultimate cheerleader, reminding Lola of everything she deserves! 👯‍♀️

Who did I miss? What should I add to the list?? 👯‍♀️
