THE YEAR OF THE SNAKE. 🐍
looking back, I cannot actually believe how many skins I ended up shedding.
I am so grateful for this year, even with all its hardships. I have learned so much and I have been so fucking humbled.

this year brought with it some delightful and beloved new friends, released its share of inauthentic bonds, and deeply strengthened the relationships I was so lucky to have from the start.
I’ve gained so much insight from my past iterations, loved myself with both incredible toughness and profound understanding, and done it all with the gift of the best hands to hold as I do so.
I am genuinely floored by how different I am now than I was at this time a year ago.

this year I learned that time is simply what you make of it. everything is temporary, everything is now, and although life seems to be best understood backwards, we have to live it forwards.
I can’t wait to soak up every last DROP of allll the everythings up ahead.
you know I’m a horse girl, right? ♥️

(P.S. instagram won’t let me tag everyone but you know who you are and I love ya to pieces!!!)

Four more years❗️🤸🏻‍♀️

3/24 was my 4th anniversary at @purepilatesaustin . It was also the 4th year of me consistently and intentionally committing to my fitness. Y’all know I am not sporty spice at all. My most athletic stint previously was in 7th grade athletics, where I spent the entire year in off-season running too many miles (and yes, I will absolutely blame my bad knees on that😆). In high school, marching band served as my exercise and in college, walking across the 40 acres from class to class was my cardio routine.

In 2019, I met @jessicaxuan at a recruiting event and of the many things we discussed that night, one of them was Pure Pilates, her journey into being a trainer, and finding a community through it. Then COVID hit, we were all at home. I ran again, very unsuccessfully. Yes, my knees got hurt further more. Once fully vaxxed, I marched myself up to Jess’ class and the rest is history.

I am impressed with myself every single day that I have committed to something like lagree for so long. I’m so grateful for Jess and the passion that she spoke about Pure because like her, I was also able to find myself in it. Not only that, I also gained so many wonderful friendships—women who have supported me in so many different ways. Some of my best moments these past 4yrs have been on the megaformer, but also beside these women, whether at @austinfc games, @texasfootball tailgates, countless concerts, or during spirited political discussions. Thank you Pure Pilates, thank you Jess, and you know what? Thank you to me for keeping this up. Let’s see what happens the next four years.👏🏼

Lots of love and shakes💕,
The @pilatesprincesa 👸🏻
