In my 12 plus years selling vintage on Etsy, I restored and sold so many wedding gowns I rescued from the bins. Now days thrift stores send the donated dresses to other stores or put them on their website. I am glad I got to sharpen my sewing skills on these beautiful gowns. Some needed very little work and a few just a gentle cleaning and steaming.

I made it to my last surgery related to my breast cancer!!!!!! My reconstruction!!!!!! Due to the steroids I need to live, the absence of any hormones and the breast cancer itself, my stomach was sitting like a third trimester 😩😩 so doc said “let’s take care of that when we do your implants! I’m in pain but I don’t care! I made it yall. I made it! wooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo I received flowers from my work team and beautiful cards and pink roses and treats from my daughters. Life is sweet!

2025 was a great year! I fought agressive stage 2 Tripple negative breast cancer and won! BRING ON 2026 woooooohooooooooooooo

My cancer journey was long because I got sick with adrenal insufficiency from Keytruda. Only 1 percent of people go through this. If you are diagnosed with breast cancer DO NOT let people put fear in you! The average person can get through it just fine with all the advancements and nausea drugs. It would amaze you how far research has improved treatment. YOU GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I post my journey so that I don’t have to answer specific questions via DM this is easier. 🥰🥰🥰 love you all.

➡️ January 5th 2024 squeaky clean mammogram.
➡️October 18th 2024- diagnosed with stage 2, aggressive Tripple negative breast cancer (two weeks after doctor visit because I noticed lumps myself)
➡️November 1st 2024 - surgery to get a port put in my chest for chemo
➡️November 4th 2024- started chemotherapy
➡️February 23-March 4 2025 - admitted for chills, extreme fatigue, nausea etc.
➡️March 10th 2025 - had consultation with plastic surgeon but don’t remember it.
➡️March 19th to March 23rd 2025- admitted to hospital for adrenal insufficiency and blood clot in lung.
➡️April 10th 2025 - had my double mastectomy. (Both breasts and some lymphnodes removed) Pathology said CANCER FREE.
➡️June 4th 2025 - received my last chemo treatments and rang bell.
➡️July 16th 2025 - had surgery to put expanders in my chest so that I could receive radiation.
➡️September 10th 2025 - started radiation treatments
➡️October 29th 2025 - ended radiation
➡️January 8th 2026 - surgery to remove chemotherapy port
➡️Feb or March 2026 reconstruction - God willing

It’s been almost three years since I found lessons to ride at my big age and now due to a slight change in ownership, lessons are no longer offered where I was getting them five minutes from my house. I’m sad but keeping a positive outlook and hoping for a new place with my same trainer because I adore Allison and if are also finds a new place to give lessons that is where I will be. Love you all. I already had my tears and sadness and emotions about it. Riding was therapy for me and a dream come true. I will ride again. Until then enjoy my throwbacks!
