I’m sad for what was, for what wasn’t, and for all that could have been.

I’m grateful for the parts of me that are also you. My artistry and creativity. My ability to be a social butterfly. My love of animals. Maybe even my sense of humor. You were a dynamic person, full of contradictions and many different faces. Handsome, charming, vibrant, magnetic, complicated.

There was a duality to you that I spent much of my life trying to understand. As I grew older, and experienced my own pain, I learned to have more empathy for yours. I don’t doubt that you loved me, your little girl. I believe that, in the ways you knew how, you tried to show it.

I’ll hold onto the good memories, especially the ones from when I was little, when you were simply my dad and I was simply your little girl.

I’ll carry the parts of you that live in me, and I’ll let the rest go.

I love you. Rest in peace. 🤍

Saturday was a full-circle emotional roll-up. 🌀✨

No studio for me this weekend, just taking a moment to slow down and savor the tail end of Handsome Hubby’s birthday month.

Yes, I know technically it’s now August, but tonight was all about the two of us relaxing at one of our favorite local spots nearby. 🍷🥂

Which brings me to today’s unexpected magic...

We were casually browsing and shopping in Century City when we heard a classic “Hey you!”

I turned around, and there was @farah.levi

Farrah actually found me years ago when she lived right across the street from my studio and came in for Pilates.

Outside of the studio, she happens to be an incredible real estate agent with @theagencyre (if you know, you know 😉).

So, back in 2021 when Hubby and I started looking for a house (LA real estate in 2021... again, if you know, you KNOW), that journey was a rollercoaster of stress, frustration, and tears.

But Farrah?

She was my absolute rock. My calm, grounded, zen energy through it all. I adore her beyond words.

When we stumbled upon the house we live in now, she looked at me with total confidence and said, “This is going to happen.”

I’ll never forget driving down the 405 on my way to the studio when my phone rang. It was Farrah: “You got the house.” 🥹😭

Running into her today brought back a flood of pure joy and gratitude. Some people step into your path, and only later do you realize what incredible luck it was to cross paths with them.

So tonight, a heartfelt cheers to Handsome Hubby, to Farrah, and, of course, to my Mom. ❤️✨

Holding onto all the good energy this weekend brings. Hope you’re all having a beautiful Saturday!
