« i was so blinded, i had to kneel », diplôme de Farida Karim @faridaplz étudiante en 3e année Atelier Isabelle Cornaro

“How to stay grounded despite the absence of ground.

The installation unfolds entirely at ground level. The body lowers itself. Attention shifts
downward. To walk through the space is to become aware of hesitation – weight, balance,
proximity. Through unstable architectures, the work investigates grounding, submission,
collapse, and the tension between holding and letting go. Despair and potential in palpable
tension. Attempt runs through all of it. Each gesture stretches time a little further, suspending
meaning between trying to translate something and it not quite arriving.

Mourning here is not subject matter but condition: repetition, delay, return. « ROSS »
appears throughout in dispersed or absent forms, structuring the space through
disappearance. Language circulates as material – placeless writing, writing that cannot settle
anywhere. Emma Bombail (@paris_bedtime)’s fiction runs through the installation like two
people who cannot seem to speak to each other, closer to a competition than a dialogue.
The way language sets traps.

« It’s for Ross » (2026), 10’42 », a 4-channel sound work made with Roya Bari (@guelaybari)
and Anna Rimmel (@areligiousvizion). Interrupted cello rehearsals, love songs, voices that
never quite arrive. Over a YoungBoy Never Broke Again cover, Anna reads Brecht’s « To
Those Born Later », before the piece loops back.

Thank you to Isabelle Cornaro, Roya Bari, Anna Rimmel, Laura Katzauer, Regev Haim
Pardo, Magalie Vaz, Cherifa Karim, Micha Chamilov, Bantan Kante, and everyone else who
was a part of this.”

Born and raised in the Bay Area and currently based in New York City, 𝐀𝐧𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 is a composer and vocalist whose personal, subtly experimental style has been described as “introverted euphoria” by Resident Advisor and “ecstatic” by Pitchfork. Most recently, Roxanne channeled her heartbreak and grief into ‘Poem 1’, her second album and most unguarded statement to date. A blend of decelerated jazz, minimalism and vocal folk forms that’s marked by an awareness of ambient musics, the album plays out like catharsis, finding hope in the subtlety, slowness and smoky sadness of its piano themes, vulnerable vocals and dissociated synthesizer drones.⁣

𝐄𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐲𝐯𝐞 (Lucy Green) is a composer and producer creating emotionally driven work that sits between beauty and instability. Blending contemporary classical with electronic harshness, her music drifts through fragile, intimate texture before breaking into noise and chaos.⁣
_ _⁣
𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐥 is an audio researcher and curator rooted in Manchester originating from Madrid. His intricately woven identity is shaped by introspection and deep dynamic journeys, guiding the listener through subtle storytelling. Bringing a fresh perspective on soundscaping, built on clarity rather than excess.

Zombie is premiering tomorrow as part of the group exhibition the kids are alright at @neuerkunstvereinwuppertal

I am so happy to share this collaborative work by @yeldakabiil @faridaplz and me that we conceived and shot in 2023 with an amazing group of people and brought into its material form for this exhibition. It emerged out of friendship and heartbreak and in heartbreak and friendship it resolves.

The exhibition is open 5.9.26 19h - 26.9.26.

In loving memory of Maât Lk Peior, who is no longer with us.
@stellafeelauhoff words cited from the exhibition text:
With great sadness we must say goodbye to Maât, who passed away far too young in May 2026. Her heart and her elegance remain immortal, her death is unjust. She will be remembered forever as an irreplaceable person, a friend, and an inspiring artist. Our thoughts are with her friends and family.

Mallorca-born and Barcelona-based, 𝐍𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 has been quietly shaping a singular voice within the contemporary electronic music landscape. His music moves between ambient, trap, and experimental realms - a delicate blend of atmospheric depth and rhythmic tension that reflects both emotional clarity and sonic curiosity. His new AV Live show, explores this and is influenced by his past and present productions accompanied by visuals from visual artist Mimi Bow. Following the release of Algorithmic Accompaniment with Jason Kolar on Stroom, Nueen will release a new album at the start of 2026.⁣⁣

𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐘𝐈𝐀 is the solo project of Adam Dove, a Paris-born, Berlin based American sound artist and sound designer. His work might be described as outsider ambient, blending underground experimental music with sound design, textural soundscapes, and sound mangling techniques. Moving through shifting samples, moods and emotional registers, he explores themes of otherness and belonging. Through dense layering and continuous audio manipulation, he creates ever-evolving pieces that draw listeners into a sonic journey, eschewing the over-visited constraints of a tempo grid.⁣⁣

𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐧 is a musician and painter. Joanne collaborates regularly with her friends, most recently with Dean Blunt on ‘Backstage Raver’, and Sidsel Meineche Hansen on ‘Alien Baby’. She moved to Glasgow in 2018, after having lived in London. Her painting and music both form from improvisatory moments of expression. ‘Blue Car’ is a collection of songs from her archive of unreleased solo recordings, similar to ‘Painting Stupid Girls’, these tracks attempt to record the moment, and where she was at emotionally that day, similar to diary entries. The dates she wrote these songs is unknown, they span roughly a ten year period. Upcoming solo record ‘Blurrr’ is to be released on AD 93 in September 2025.  ⁣

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐢 is the project of Latvian born musician and artist Glebs Pridbailo. Across four years of creative practice, Mori’s work has undergone a significant evolution, marked by a consistent focus on lyricism and vocal processing that ties his projects together. From the lo-fi ambient texture experimentation of his debut project Aurora (Neoplasm, 2021) to the dystopian anthems of Birds & I (Xquisite Releases, 2023), Mori has continually redefined his approach to pop music. His latest record BB Void (Xpone, 2024) reimagines pop conventions through a raw, textural lens, often doing so through dictaphone-like vocal processing, heavily distorted guitar chords and overdriven beats.⁣
;;⁣⁣
𝐀𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 is an audio-visual artist based in London. Her avant-pop experiments fracture and reshape dub, glitch, and classical influences through time-stretched recordings, vocal manipulation , and impulsive lyrics. The result is a series of multi-dimensional performances that weave sound and vision into stories of girlhood, memory, beauty, and intimacy.⁣
