The produce harvested is used at farm camp and in TFI's Culinary Programming. Remaining produce is donated to the Edgartown School and this year was the best donation totals yet! What an amazing time being a part of The King Is Dead. Huge thank you to @doctorlezli and @icondinner for the invite. The weekend allowed us all to immerse ourselves in the food culture of Martha’s Vineyard through the lens of the POCs who have always made the island their home and the farmers working hard to keep sustainability first. My fellow honorees are ridiculously talented and skilled women, @diqieats, @india.doris, and @dientecitodeajo , and it was a pleasure to work beside them this past weekend. Special thank you to @avasweetsalty for holding it down through my dessert course while I went up to speak. Chef Ting of @blackjoykitchen is lucky to have such a dedicated and reliable chef on her team! Thank you to the culinary chair @chefprestonclark for running errands on his scooter for us! And thanks to @farminstitute for allowing us in their space to execute this event! Last but not least, thank you to @sabjuda for being my weekend roomie and helping me eat all the fruit I bought but then couldn’t finish! ✌🏾

Blessed to do what I love alongside people who bring passion, purpose, and creativity to the table. Thank you for the opportunity and the unforgettable experience. Cooking is always bigger than what’s on the plate—it’s about the people, the stories, and the memories created along the way. Honored and grateful to have shared this experience with you all. 🤎
