Phuzz Phest on Philm!

I'm so glad that this Winston Salem staple is back! With 2 months of reflecting on this weekend, I don't think I've ever had this much fun downtown in my whole life. It was such a refreshing thing to see a festival take a hold of a city for three days, and that so many amazing artists were able to take so many stages.

Hoping that Phuzz Phest 2027 will be a ripper as well 🛐

I had such an incredible time at Phuzz Phest, and a large part of my excitement was to witness the first ever @fauntempol set! It was a night of firsts, including my inaugural film shoot, as in I've literally not shot film at all before this day.

I hope you all enjoy this reel of photos, and I can't wait to develop this skill further!

2026 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT 🔦 Faun Tempol (@fauntempol) make their live debut at The Millennium Center for Phuzz Phest on Friday, April 10, on a stacked bill with Meatbodies, Designer and Find Familiar. Single day and weekend passes are on sale now at PhuzzPhest.com

Faun Tempol is an avante-garde psych-pop project based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Their work embodies the ongoing collaborative collision between multi-instrumentalists Thomas Simpson and Carter Gaj. Their debut double album ‘La Oprika’ represents the sum total of a year spent tinkering with studio textures, rhythmic improvisations, unexpected compositional structures, and dream-bound excursions to fanciful locales.

“With layers of psychedelic instrumentation, ‘La Oprika’ is an ecstatic introductory album for avant-garde Raleigh-based duo Faun Tempol.” — INDY Week
