When @fayvurrrh reached out with this vision, I was thrilled. It’s not the usual kind of guide, especially for people trying to navigate their path. The book brings together contributors from a wide range of career paths.

There’s so much advice out there telling you what to do:
📄 How to write a CV
🎤 How to prepare for interviews
🎓 How to navigate life after school
✉️ How to send cold emails

But almost no one shows you how to actually do it.

I can’t wait for you to get a copy and learn from each contributor.

Your first job does not have to be your dream job. It just has to be your starting point.

Ekeh Olivet’s first job paid ₦8,000 a month.

He took it anyway not because it was what he wanted, but because he needed a base to build from.

That base became a consulting career.

The gap between where you are and where you are going is not wasted time. It is preparation.

Ekeh Olivet’s story is in Chapter 1 of Becoming the 1%.

Rejection is not always the end.

From sending 45 cold emails; mostly silence to landing a role a year later.

Your rejection may not be a no. It may just be a not yet.

Elizabeth Aransiola’s shares her story in Chapter 6 in *Becoming the 1%.*

It’s always an absolute delight being at @bfflyfstyle with my girls.

Let’s do this again, every year. ❤️
Also, let’s make our stories one of those people are willing to listen to. 🤭

When ‘To have, to hold, to love’ isn’t just another popular line in a wedding vow but fulfilment of its context in 4 humans with different personalities and potentials staying true to the integrity of what they have built- Friendship.

Rallying around one another, listening on both days -good & bad and just like the boy whose friends took to Jesus by opening a roof in the book of Mark - Carried one another in down times.

That, is being ‘Surrounded’ to us. We would be live at @bffthefestival by @bolasodun .
