Part 2 of “how tf am I making money” 💸

If I could give anyone advice about quitting their job, it’d be this: secure yourself a few part-time gigs before you leap. I can’t tell you how much confidence that gave me.

There was a lot of work happening behind the scenes to prepare for this leap, and I want to share the things that gave me the nudge and the safety to take it.

Next up: my work as a social media coach/ freelancer 👀

ANYTHING BUT TEACHING: how I’m making money as a travel advisor ✈️

When I decided to leave teaching, I knew I wasn’t just walking away from a paycheck, I was betting on myself.

but let me be honest: i prepared for this leap. I have an emergency fund that’s helping keep me afloat, and I have other gigs bringing in income while I build what’s next.

I’m not pretending entrepreneurship is all ✨quit your job and follow your dreams✨ with no safety net.

But I also know that travel advising is something I genuinely want to center myself around as an experience designer.

Because I don’t just want to help people book a hotel.

I want to help people create experiences they’ll actually remember.

And with @foratravel , travel advising feels a lot different than the old-school image of a travel agent sitting behind a desk in some dusty office with cobwebs 😂

It’s about relationships. Community. Curating experiences. Knowing your people and helping them make the most of their time, money, and adventures.

And the best part? Booking with me costs you NOTHING extra.

You give me your:
📍 destination + dates
💰 budget
✨ preferences / must-haves

…and I do the work.

I can help find options within your budget, handle the research, and depending on the property, I may even be able to get you access to extra perks or amenities.

So if you’ve been saying “I really need a trip” but don’t have the time or energy to figure it all out…

Hmu. Let’s hop on a call ☎️✈️

september, you were a chapter ⚡️

This September was huge for me. The beginning of a much longer journey that will require faith, dedication, and a willingness to feel ALL the feels.

The last few months have stretched me in ways I never thought possible. My heart has opened in ways I once thought were dormant. I’ve been reminded that as long as I continue to show up authentically as myself, I cannot lose in the game of life and love 💗

And so, I’m walking into October with a new understanding: faith and discernment need to walk hand in hand.

Learning to discern the people, opportunities, and experiences that fuel me and bring me closer to the greater vision I have for myself and my future, versus the ones that pull me away from it.

All I can do is keep showing up for myself, stay open to what’s possible, trust the journey, and never leave myself wondering what if?

Here’s to a new month of choosing faith, moving with intention, and giving life a chance to surprise me 🖤

What the f*ck am I doing with my life?

Day 1 has me in my feels ngl. But if I really sit back and think about it, I realize how just how lucky I am to take this leap.

Giving myself grace after my trip to slowly and surely figure out this life outside of the classroom.

Leaning all the way into this extra time, i plan to get dig into my vlogging era cause i wanna share this journey honestly as it unfolds. Prepare to be sick of me 😂

PS: anyone wanna join me to @zeemiwu class on Wednesday 8:30a at @theblockyoga ? LMK 💪

better late than never here…

June was full of love 🤍

I realized I took fewer photos this month because I was actually living in the moment, soaking it all in and enjoying each and every one of you.

The last few years have felt heavy, but this year has been filled with so much ease, growth, and transformation. I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have been part of that.

Here’s to whatever the rest of the summer has in store ☀️
