This past weekend, some of our talented students had the wonderful opportunity to perform at Cali School alum Matt Searing’s wedding!

The Cali connections didn’t stop there! We were excited to run into current Montclair student Mario Correa and fellow alum Richard Hagen at the celebration.

Fun fact: Rich was formerly a member of the New York City Ballet French Horn section and Matt is a librarian for the San Francisco Symphony!

Have a listen to our performance of Pleasures of Solitude by Sawney Freeman who is now thought to maybe be the earliest published black composer! We had a pleasure playing this tune and it was a joy bringing it to life in a brass ensemble iteration at our concert at Trinity Church! #music #concert #nyc #brass #band

So proud of all my students at Montclair State University and SUNY Purchase! As a professor, there is nothing more gratifying than seeing your students set and achieve their own goals in a semester. I learn so much from them every year and forever honored to be the one who gets to see them grow from lesson to lesson. Thankful to be teaching and coaching such beautiful souls every year. Congrats to you all and enjoy your breaks!! ☺️🎉🙌
