Thank you @feeding_five_frugally for the PSA to hit the supermarket before it closed for Good Friday — scored a bargain on lamb cutlets from @woolworths_au
Easy lunch today: garlic & rosemary marinated lamb (fresh from the @vegepodau ), finished with an extra hot chimichurri @sur.direct drizzle.
Sides? @kraft_macandcheese mac & cheese (requested by someone in the household 😄), plus boiled corn and a simple tomato salad. #gracesusatyokitchen #EasyLunchIdeas #LambCutlets #homecookingau

Today’s interest rate went up again, but somehow the salary memo still hasn’t arrived. Cost-of-living creativity is officially in full swing.
@feeding_five_frugally once told me to always keep an eye out for supermarket markdowns, and that advice paid off today. Spotted @inghamsaustralia turkey risolles reduced to just 75c each — such a satisfying little win. Grabbed 2 packs, froze them earlier, then portioned them into mini balls and repurposed them into pasta meatballs for an easy meal prep hack.
Nothing fancy, just stretching ingredients further while still making dinner feel comforting and delicious 🍝✨
Simmered with passata, @thenaturalstockco chicken stock for extra flavour, infused with fresh bayleaves from #gracesusatyogarden and tossed through pasta.

Cooked in @equipcookware Kin Wok.
Pasta + passata from @pane_e_prosciutto_putney thanks to @j.i.m_gladesville opening giveaway win.

Food prep always on @maison_appret with raw meat prep kept separate because kitchen hygiene still matters even during budget cooking mode.

Proof that a good markdown, a bit of freezer planning, and some creativity can still turn into a hearty homemade meal.

The lunchbox-drink bottle set at the end is pretty cute 😍

Ps. When adding grapes to little lunchboxes, make sure they are chopped in half to avoid any choking risks. 🍇
