I knew I was ready to evolve as a painter. I’ve seen so many different “shows” in my third eye. Minimalism style. A tactile audio and visual show. Large huge layer upon layer. I think this painting is the beginning of that. I love it.

How many artists out there LOVE thier work!? I feel blessed that I truly do love my work. I love the journey. I love the unfolding. The color the textures and pull of the paint on my brush.

Outside of singing live and performing wich I did since childhood professionally into my 40s

I never loved anything as much as this.

Find some way to love your unfolding and growth. For me I’m seeing both through painting.

I got to a really bad place. I no longer cherished growth hard work and self improvement because the needle wasn’t moving regardless of rest or putting in the time. No matter what the world said I had to do. It just wasn’t in alignment for joy. I just can’t fucking show up the way they say it’s supposed to be done. Nope nope nope.

I don’t believe in sacrificing joy where work has to be 80/20 and the 20 is joy but the 80% should be worth it. Fuck that.

But I do believe in time on task over time like my friend @feelfitastic always said. I have been painting every day for chunks at a time and I do not want to stop because the work is not work. It’s deep enriching peaceful joy. And the growth is coming anyway.

A little bit of time on a task over a period of time really does add up to measurable results.

Now get out there you spicy little taco and just be a feral menace spreading joy into every dang cell and fiber that makes you up and watch the perception shift happen. Break rules. Buck the system. Find YOUrself through the noise of shoulds and don’ts.

October 6, 2023 kicked off the next TM90.

TM90 is a program created and coached by my strong, kind, fit, enthusiastic, positive and knowledgeable friend Steve Trezek.

The 12 week immersive program is a catalyst growth and development - exploration and expansion. It’s learning a way of being. Learning to make and keep promises to yourself. Building your confidence. Finding out who you are from the inside out.

Found a video in memories today of my very first back squat at 50 pounds 3 years ago. How cool is it that we did back squats today at #Crossfit. It’s never too late to get and stay in shape!

3 years ago I made a decision to save my own life. I was over 400lbs, feeling & looking unhealthy.

If you would have told me then, that today, a short 3 years later, I’d be taking surf lessons in Myrtle Beach as a part of my personal development, I never would have believed it to be possible. And yet, it is. I got on the board, road some waves, & wiped out too. I was terrified. I was excited too. I had doubt. What a rush. I’m super proud of me. What a cool accomplishment!! I’ll be doing this again!!!

This was by far the most fabulous day of VIP Coaching with Kevin Hoover that I could have imagined!! Beach walk, deep talk & meditation. Surf lessons - way to take a Control Freak out of her comfort zone, Kev. 😂

A full afternoon of Business Planning & Training. Then some shag dancing - so much easier for me than surfing! 😆 cool dance. Love the vibe.

What an amazing day thanks to Kevin & Suzanne Hoover!!

Shout out to Jacks for the amazing surf lessons from a top notch, encouraging instructor!! Go ask for Kevin when you take your surf lessons there!!

I’m a lucky girl! I get to train with the best of the best - in surfing, health, fitness, dancing, coaching, speaking, real estate - I just have the best people in my life!!
