During my second Peachtree, I’d just passed the mile 2 marker, and I stepped on a reflector in the road (there used to be a MINEFIELD of them right after that mile marker), fell, and sprained my left ankle. I’d just started training for my first Dopey, and I was heartbroken to have to stop training. Ten weeks later, I completed my first half marathon at Disneyland with ZERO training. I refused to let these stupid road demons get me down for long, and they’ve been known as road demons ever since. Here’s a little look into my internal dialogue every time I see them during a run 🥴😂

🍑🌳: When my running worlds collide in the most glorious way. ATL, meet runDisney. runDisney, meet ATL. I couldn’t be happier. I’m the most myself in a pair of running shoes and a fun hairdo ✨

“The ever impressive, the long contained, often imitated, but never duplicated … Genie of the lamp!”

Ten miles of magic (and some unfortunate hip pain) wrapped up the runDisney season with a bang. I’m forever grateful for these people and these memories. 💙💚

🐇It’s called a HUSTLE, sweetheart🦊
Our squad NAILED our first group costume if I do say so myself. 3.1 miles of animalistic MADNESS for the Springtime Surprise 5k filled my heart to the brim. I am so lucky to have all of these amazing humans in my life. To understand the immense love I have for runDisney, you have to meet my people. They make every day magical.

There’s something to be said about family- and my running family is unmatched. The Dopey Dopes formed out of a way to cheer each other on as we chased the dwarf. We’re now all Dopey finishers- but more than that we have found a safety net within each other. There’s nothing this group can’t say, share, or be with each other that would cause us to love each other less. These humans are a true gift and I love them to the depths of my soul. My world is better, truly life giving, because of them. I want you to meet them and know what it is to be seen by them. You’re always welcome in our running ohana.

Springtime Surprise was all about celebrating Disney duos, but the weekend was so much more. It was about celebrating life, friendship, and the joy these people bring to every single day. There was so much love, laughter, and light in this weekend and I truly feel like the luckiest human on the planet to know them. Through the final miles, fireworks, and 3…2…1…GO’s the sweetest memories were made. How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard? I love you @rundisney. Thank you for changing my life. ‘25-‘26 season you were so good to me. ‘26-‘27 season, see ya real soon boo 😘
