Folding bike helmets built for the city bike commuter. Always with you. Never in the way.
Ready. Set. Ride.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

If you're going to do a lot of utility cycling, multimodal commuting, or bike share riding, a folding helmet is a great idea.
This one from @fendhelmet is actually a good helmet, and looks way more secure than the other ones.
Plus it actually looks like a regular bike helmet and has good vents.

Do you have a folding helmet?

Starting a business is hard.

Starting a business as a woman is arguably harder.

Last month, I attended the @titlenine Pitchfest where I interviewed eleven women from nine brands about how they built their businesses and the challenges they faced along the way.

This post includes just a few snippets from the article, but you can read the full thing on the GearJunkie website.

We put our Pitchfest finalists to the test to get the real scoop on how they run their businesses. Turns out, there’s no one-size-fits-all way to build something great.
How would you do it? Drop your picks below. 👇

Pitching your business in front of a full room takes so much courage.

Every founder who got up on stage at @titlenine Pitchfest did it so well, and I left wanting to go build something new.

I have so much love to my friend @t9missy. She built Title Nine into an incredible company, and she keeps opening doors for the next generation of women founders and leaders. I’m always so grateful to be in the room with her.

Thank you so much for having me.

Here’s how I’d describe @titlenine PitchFest to someone who has never been in person:

-Support, cheerleading, and curiosity from strangers (and new friends!)
-Common goal of empowering women and outfitting any adventure they aspire to take on
-Hefty dose of inspiration hearing these women’s stories of starting, building, and maintaining a business (perseverance, agility, failures, overcoming, grit)
-Everyone is wearing a really cool outfit
-Delicious lunch
-Straight up wisdom from humans like Title Nine founder Missy Park, @oiselle founder Sally Bergesen @sallycbergesen and @carvedesigns founder Thayer Sylvester @thayersylvester
-Working out alongside some of the coolest women in this industry
-Reveling in how cool the T9 headquarters is as a workspace

it’s an honor for me to be invited🙌🏽 thank you to the entire @titlenine team for having me and to all of this year’s pitchers for showing up with so much dang tenacity and resilience. Loved every single chat I had and really treasure all the good energy this event provides to my adventurous soul ⚡️

How can I recap one of the most exciting and inspiring few days of my career as a founder and craftswoman?

It’s impossible to say all the things I felt as a finalist at Pitchfest (I’m a maker, not a talker) but here’s a huge thank to @titlenine for the workshops, the company, the pickleball lessons, the free gear, the delicious food and drink, the motivation and inspiration. And the ask to write a pitch and tell my personal story of @apresskijewelry and “get all my ducks in a row” from business numbers to pitch timing to networking skills. All of the finalists worked so hard and absolutely nailed it!

I may not have won the big prize of a 2027 purchase order but I had oh so many other wins. From day one of becoming a finalist @t9missy the most awesome badass founder of Title Nine and @gilliland who put this incredible event together told us “you all have won already, you are all community now, work together” could not have been more true. I met so many other incredible finalists who I know I will be in touch with including @symbiosisgear and @skigirlhood for future Colorado collaborations. Not to mention Robin from @townhallgear just an all around amazing human and mutual Steamboat friend. Abby from @surf_gems who was my mentor and helping hand during the whole process. All of the women founders at the event. The list goes on.

Was I a bit disappointed when I didn’t win the big prize even though the winners were awesome. I sure was.

Was I unhappy with the ultimate outfit I chose for pitching after deliberating for days. I sure was. Ha)

Was I exhausted before and after the final experience. Definitely.

None of that matters.

Did I deliver a pitch that made the whole audience tear up when I mentioned my daughter and the challenges of motherhood and running a business? Did I get lots of heartfelt compliments on it? I sure did.

Did friends, family, neighbors and colleagues come out of the woodwork to support me, listen to my practice pitch, show me they believe in my business, travel to support me @abmarti12 and listen to me every step of the way @jazzfunkgolden They sure did.

Am I proud of what I did and the business I’ve created? Am I inspired by what s

Home from a few days in Cali with @titlenine — and girl, this was one trip that I will never forget.☀️

I really can’t put into words how impactful Pitchfest was for me - watching all of these ladies pitch their companies, their vision and their products was beyond inspirational. Ya’ll killed it!!!

And learning from some badass founders in the panel + past Pitchfest winner updates were the sprinkles on top of the already scrumptious sundae.

Thank you, @titlenine for this opportunity and this community — bringing women together and supporting them in their dreams truly is one of your super powers.

My advice to you? Follow all these ladies — cheer for them, support them and do what you can to help them grow. I know I will. 🫶

Did you know that about 50% to 78% of bicycle riders don't wear helmets regularly?

@fendhelmet founder Sujene Kong has set out to change that.

By creating a foldable helmet, Fend makes it easy to carry a helmet around all day without it feeling like a burden.

This innovative product was one of the nine finalists in the 2026 @titlenine Pitchfest, underway right now!

What do you think of Fend?
