Quick stop on our way to Mount Kōya. 🚋⁣
⁣
Kōya-san is a large temple settlement in the Wakayama prefecture, south of Osaka. ⁣
⁣
Settled in 819, is known as the world headquarters of the Kōyasan Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism. ⁣
⁣
The town of Kōya features a university dedicated to religious studies and 120 sub-temples, many of which offer lodging to pilgrims. ⁣
⁣
We will soon share with you more moments of this spiritual and enriching journey.⁣

To re-use and recycle is very much embedded into Japanese culture. It's cities are full of vintage and antiques shops, and digging for long times just to rescue a couple of treasures is one of our favourite activities!⁣
⁣
Here @fer_placa is checking some baskets of stuff left at the entrance of a rarity shop close to Umeda, Osaka.⁣
