Haitian Ladies, WE DID IT AGAIN!

This year, we introduced a new pillar to the Haitian Ladies Networking Weekend, and I could not be more proud!

We officially unveiled and cut the ribbon on a new space dedicated to celebrating and promoting up-and-coming Haitian women authors: the Dr. Solanges Vivens Author’s Corner.

This space is more than a beautiful addition to the Weekend. It is about legacy, opportunity, and making sure that the voices and stories of Haitian women are seen, heard, and remembered.

Selected Haitian women authors will have the opportunity to showcase their books and connect with attendees, much like the Bien Abiye Marketplace provides a platform for Haitian entrepreneurs and creatives.

To the women who helped make this vision a reality: thank you for believing in the power of our women, our stories, and our legacy.

And to the next generation of Haitian women authors: this space is for you. Write your stories. Share your voices. Take your place.

Because when Haitian women come together, we don’t just make things happen we create legacies.

Haitian Ladies, WE DID IT AGAIN! And I have a feeling this is only the beginning.

Please join us in welcoming Jennifer Erie, also known as Fête Jen, to the Dr. Solanges Vivens Author’s Corner at HLW.

Every Haitian book carries more than a story. It carries memory, language, history, and possibility.

At Haitian Ladies Weekend, we are making space for the writers who are preserving our culture, helping us understand our experiences, and imagining what comes next.

Jennifer is a former U.S. diplomat and creative entrepreneur whose career has spanned global health work and storytelling across the diaspora.

During HLW, Jennifer will introduce her memoir, The World In My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made, a clear-eyed account of a life built on service and ambition, and what it means to find yourself again when the structures you trusted fall away.

Come meet Jennifer and explore her book in person at the Dr. Solanges Vivens Author’s Corner at HLW this October.

From Queens to the world. And back to the self.

Jennifer Erie’s (@fete_jen) story is about more than diplomacy.

It is about Haitian heritage, identity, grief, caregiving, service and the people who become part of us along the way.

🎙️ NEW EPISODE

What happens when curiosity becomes a way of life?

In this conversation, Jennifer Erie shares how a journey that began in Queens led her across the world—and how those experiences shaped her understanding of leadership, service, and community.

One message continues to stay with me:

“Ubuntu means, ‘I am because you are.’”

Leadership isn’t just about influence.

It’s about relationships.

It’s about listening.

It’s about building bridges across cultures and communities.

If you’ve ever wondered how global experiences can change the way we lead, serve, and connect with others, I think you’ll enjoy this conversation.
