La verità su Emanuel (2013)
Regia: @fgregorini
Titolo originale: The Truth About Emanuel

I have survived a lot of things. Apparently a pickleball lunge is not one of them. Calf tore. Flat on the bench. Leg up. Ice.

And there in the background, utterly unbothered – stud aka Francesca. @fgregorini Laughing. Everyone else is suddenly stretching as well.

Plummer Park 5-7 Friday Open Play. Player down.

Congratulations @fgregorini on a beautiful video and congrats @ringostarrmusic on this great song and album ✌️💜🎶🤠👏💚☮️☀️Watch the official music video for “Long Long Road,” featuring Ringo driving down his own “long long road” over the years that’s led him to this album today. Directed by Francesca Gregorini, it’s a sentimental journey from Liverpool to the world, and we hope you love it. 😎✌️🌟❤️💕🎶🍎🥦🐘🌈🚗

Los Angeles will always feel a little like home. A wedding of a dear colleague gave us the opportunity to see family and friends. So much love to my West Coast fam.

My only sadness is not enough Orange County time to see my friends and mentors there.

Vladimir - Netflix
The big thing in this is the main character reels you in straight away, speaking to the camera, to the audience and breaking the fourth wall really draws you in as the viewer and you’re hooked and feel included.
This was different, we’ve seen many shows about relationships and affairs but this was all in the main characters own head.
She’s a college professor whose husband has affairs with grad students but she did enable her husband’s behaviour and then she finds herself lusting and obsessing over her younger colleague. Even when the two characters sleep together it seemed the main character was a bit disappointed, so the fantasy was much better in her imagination and the real act was a bit lacklustre as she sent him to the guest bedroom straight away. Vladamir wants to continue the affair but the protagonist just needed inspiration for her next book.
I thought it was really clever that we don’t get to ever learn Rachel Weisz’s character name during the series, was this intentional or she just doesn’t need a name, I only questioned this after watching the series but she’s telling her own story from her point of view so why include her name, also it gives a bit of a mystery to the character.
The series tackles many themes which include desire, lust, consent, how those in power abuse it, cancel culture, guilty by association and addiction.
Rachel Weisz portrayed the main character brilliantly, even I’m not sure about the ending but I know her character had control as she left the house and the two men were left inside while it was on fire. She said she called 911 but did she, and did they survive. It could just be a metaphor; that they were characters for her new book and now she’s written her book she doesn’t need them for her inspiration.
At the end of the day she’s in control and has been all along.
This is definitely one to binge watch #vladimirnetflix #rachelweisz #leowoodhall #Netflix #dramaseries
