@fhprivateschool ・・・ At Forest Hills, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens outside the classroom. 🌿 Of course, we teach reading, writing, and math. But we also believe in the lessons that come from exploring nature, observing the world around us, working together, and getting a little muddy along the way. A pond becomes a place to observe life, ask questions, and discover something new. The forest becomes a classroom. And play becomes an opportunity to build confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deeper connection to the world around us. Because childhood isn’t just about preparing for life someday. It’s about having the time and space to experience it, too. 🍂 At Forest Hills Private School, we believe both kinds of learning matter. 🥰 #forestschool #waldorfeducation #waldorschool #natureschool alternativeeducation

@fhprivateschool ・・・ 🍂🐉 Celebrating Michaelmas at Forest Hills 🐉🍂 In Waldorf education, Michaelmas marks a turning point into autumn, a time that celebrates courage, inner strength, and meeting challenges with confidence as the days grow shorter and the natural world prepares for winter. We celebrated through handwork, cooking, nature, and community. The children prepared squash soup, baked dragon bread and apple crumble, picked purple aster flowers that represent St. Michael, and worked together to set the tables for our shared meal. From gathering ingredients to sharing food around the table, Michaelmas gives children the opportunity to experience the season through their hands, hearts, and senses, building independence, cooperation, and a sense of gratitude for the harvest. 🍎🌿🔥 A day of courage, connection, and celebrating the gifts of autumn. #Waldorf #waldorfeducation #waldorfschool #micaelmas alternativeeducation

@fhprivateschool ・・・ At Forest Hills, outdoor learning gives children opportunities to move, explore, observe and engage with their surroundings while still developing important academic skills. Being outside can turn an ordinary lesson into something memorable, while encouraging curiosity, independence, problem-solving and a connection with the natural world. Because sometimes the best classroom doesn’t have four walls. 🌲 #forestschool #waldorfeducation #forestschooling #waldorschool alternativeeducation

@fhprivateschool ・・・ Your child is going to be an adult for most of their life. Why are we rushing them? From the moment they start school, we’re constantly thinking about what comes next. The next grade. The next test. The next achievement. The next milestone. But somewhere along the way, we can forget that childhood itself is a pretty important part of growing up. Children need time to run through the forest. To climb things they probably shouldn’t. To get covered in mud. To build something that doesn’t quite work. To ask a hundred questions. To be bored. To imagine. To explore without knowing exactly where they’re going. Because not everything valuable can be measured with a grade. Maybe the goal isn’t to make children better at being students. Maybe it’s to help them become curious, capable, confident human beings. And that’s the kind of childhood we believe is worth protecting. #forestschool #waldorfeducation #waldorschool #alternativeeducation natureschool

One of the many gifts of knowing your worth and building self-trust is showing up consistently for yourself, not only on the days when the path seems clear but especially when it doesn’t. You will always find me in the rooms where I am surrounded by heart-led women who… 👣Are here to help pave the path for others, 🎤Believe in the power of sharing your story and using your voice to lift others and LEAD with purpose, 🤭Know the importance of making it fun along the way! Who says a day at summer camp is just for children - Not Me! Yesterday I attended a full-day event with @freshideacollective held at @fhprivateschool on the most beautiful day to really soak up the scenery while we learned how to build our speaking careers, gain confidence and be inspired by each other. It was the perfect blend of learning, applying and co-creation, and I walked away feeling inspired to keep growing, taking chances and following the energy to what truly lights me up! I loved meeting so many new people and enjoying a yummy lunch from @lynnriverfarm and receiving “Braving The Wilderness” from @bookcellar365, a book that I’ve been wanting to read - I’ll take that as a sign! Oh I cannot forget the most amazing Lavender ice cream from @saltminecreamery 😋 @christine.parker.rmt, thanks for the awesome conversation we shared on our drive - so love getting to know you better! You are my people 🙌🏻 @goodhandjenna — girl you are my soul sister and I just loved surprising you and receiving the best hug EVER when I arrived! I just loved experiencing some laughter yoga with you and I definitely see a collab happening in the future between us! @coachmegpearson ….being in any room with you lights me up! Until we get to meet again — Keep Shining Sis! 🔥 And Kerry, my first event with @freshideacollective ….it was such a pleasure attending and learning from you! I look forward to more events in the future! 💫Get in the rooms that show you what is possible! 💫Give as much as you receive! 💫Allow your light to shine - the world needs YOU!
