Being part of #FICCIFrames_FYI (Frame Your Idea) (FYI) as a filmmaker and writer is a meaningful milestone in my journey—a chance to share my stories and cinematic vision with distinguished producers and industry professionals, and explore new possibilities for collaboration.

As a filmmaker, writer, and queer feminist, I aspire to bring stories from the margins into the frame—stories that question inequalities, challenge conventions, and amplify voices often unheard.

My heartfelt thanks to the FICCI Frames management, system coordinators, and volunteers for their wonderful support and warm hospitality. A special thanks to @virafpp sir and @prrrincee sir for their encouragement and support.

Grateful for this opportunity and everyone who continues to believe in my journey. The dream continues!

Lights. Camera. Pitch!

Two days at FICCI FRAMES 2026, Mumbai.

Went armed with stories, pitches and a reasonable amount of optimism. Came back with conversations, connections, photographs, and several more reasons to keep writing.

Between pitching stories for the screen, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones, there was plenty of talking. And walking. And more talking.

Day 1 was blue. Day 2 was pink. The stories remained colourful throughout.

Now, let's see which ones find their way onto a screen.

September 2026 Collection - From @ficcifyi .

Had an amazing time at the frames. Learned from last year and then again new things this year. Pitches were better but more Fumbles yet genuine and were heard with attention - Rare.

Met amazing people - the vibe was great.

I do hope people make it and we hear amazing stories how that one meeting changed things for them. 🤗

Had some full circle moments from a genuine feedback years ago regarding character development to this year getting appreciated for character development.

I love being part of the atmosphere which is uplifting and hopeful.

Lets go🔥🔥💯🤗

THANK YOU @ficcifyi @virafpp @prrrincee .

Deepak Dhar, Founder & Group CEO of Banijay Asia & Endemol Shine India, at FICCI FRAMES on how India’s reality TV boom actually started 20+ years ago — with homegrown shows like _Chhote Ustad_ and the early push to create content that brought Indian households together.

He calls it more than a moment: it’s the foundation of non-fiction TV in India, long before the format had a name.

A great day for our team at FICCI FRAMES 2026!

We were proud to be part of the Madhya Pradesh Roundtable, bringing together industry leaders and policymakers to discuss the future of film, AVGC-XR and digital innovation.

We also had our story pitch booth, connecting with fresh ideas and new voices from across the creative ecosystem.

This was a life trajectory changing day. Yeh mere sapne yehi toh hai apne, mujhse juda na honge inke yeh saaye.

My absolute angel of a human who instilled faith and trust strong enough for me to take this leap of faith. I knew that you were here and if something needed attention, you'd be there. Thank you so much Viraf. I love you for the time, effort and going above and beyond. Grateful for your existence: FYI and beyond.

Pitch black. Pitch perfect besties. Mutual beizzati karwake production houses se haan bulwana art hai aur hum artists. 🧿🧿

My second family. Long live Spiral Bound. Missing in frame but in my heart: @renusudsinha @nehasrivi @sreedevijagannath

My fauji mittar💛

Only @hg6 knows what this means.

Writing can be such a lonely job. You spend so much time inside your own head, your own stories, and your own little cave that sometimes you forget there are so many others out there going through the same struggle.

That’s why festivals like these mean so much. They get us out of our caves, put us in the same room, and remind us that we’re really not alone in this journey.

Thank you, @ficci_frames and @ficcifyi , for putting together such a wonderful pitch fest and creating a space where writers could not only pitch their stories to some of the top production houses, but also meet and connect with each other.

I had a great time pitching, but honestly, one of my favourite parts was meeting so many writers whom I might never have met otherwise. There’s something very comforting about meeting people who understand the strange, exciting, frustrating, and sometimes lonely world of writing.

Leaving with new conversations, new connections, and a little less feeling of being alone in the cave. ❤️
