Went for a 2 and a half hour drive to the @adlindiebookfestival yesterday. We arrived just when the storm hit, got saturated and and stomped in some puddles 😂 thankfully the thunder and lightning had stopped while we were walking otherwise people would’ve seen a crazy girl running for her life! 😱

First time attending an indie author festival and I had such a lovely time. I could’ve walked out with so much more but had had to restrain myself.

My haul includes:
🍄 The Cannington Chronicles by @a.m.pearce (who had the cutest set up and the best outfit at the festival)
👻 The Wraith & Wanderings trilogy by @ekearlewrites (who might possibly be the sweetest and cutest human ever! Had a lovely time chatting with her)
🌸 The prettiest book stack oil/wax burner from @littleglowcandleco
🐈‍⬛ A mystery book from @luckyboxbookclub.aus (which sounds like the perfect spooky season read! 👻🎃)
✨ And, the prettiest bookmarks and cutest fourth wing key chain from @kilia_arts I had to have my own Tairn, Sgaeyl and Andarna 🥹
🥃 Did some tastings at @fictiondistilling The Wuthering Heights liqueur was dangerously delicious. Adding that to the Christmas wish list. And will definitely be visiting the tasting rooms when they open!

Plus discovering many new authors to follow.
This was a big out my my comfort zone step and I honestly had the best day 🥰🫶🏻

And no event is complete without the required selfies (both staged and in the mid-laughter moments) to truly capture the awesome people who put up with my weirdness! ❤️❤️

The @adlindiebookfestival is done for another year 😭 After a big year of prep, we can finally breathe and sit back and relax knowing we did it again!

I got to sit on the Info Desk for @greenhillpublishing again AND also talk on a panel about the publishing industry, with a focus on ghost writing. I had a ball alongside some seriously talented industry professionals.

I also ✨finally✨ got my hands on some gin from @fictiondistilling and I’m not mad about it.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support local indie authors and businesses. Without your support, events like this wouldn’t happen! It was so good to see some familiar faces, meet mutuals in real life, and chat with new people!

Same time next year? 😏

G'day everyone 👋 a very successful day at the @adlindiebookfestival

To Robert & Lilliana, my fellow authors, thank you so much for the warm welcome! You were both incredibly inviting and I will be sure to keep your advice in mind 😊 I wish you both nothing but the best in your writing endeavours

Hopefully one day, I will be able to sit alongside all writers at the next event 🙏

Now if y'all will excuse me, I have Wuthering Heights cherry liquor to enjoy 😏🥂

Oh! And please buy my book 😆 link's in the bio 👆

POV: you came for the books and somehow ended up with gin, wine, shopping and an author Q&A too 👀📚

Honestly we may have got a little carried away with this one.

We’ve got @fictiondistilling keeping the gin flowing 🍸

@nsewines covering the “just one glass” situation 🍷

@thefirstchapterbookshop putting everyone’s TBR and bank account at risk 📚

And @greenhillpublishing joining us for our indie author Q&A and bringing all the bookish behind-the-scenes goodness 🎤

These guys are such a huge part of what we’re creating for Epilogue The First Chapter and we genuinely cannot wait to have everyone together under one roof.

Books. Wine. Gin. Authors. Shopping.

What could possibly go wrong? 😂
