Second @pabassnation tournament of the year, the boys had a tough time in practice but put together a decent 14.07 lb sack for 4th place! Erie next!

That’s a wrap on the 2nd stop of the Bassmaster College Series on Santee Cooper. My partner @davidb.28 and I fought hard and put fish in the boat almost all day. We weren’t able to get the number of big bites that we needed, but we weighed in with 15lbs 2oz putting us in 99/240 boats. We finished first in the Johnson Outdoors bracket and will have some new electronics coming in the mail for the boat soon. I gotta thank my teammates, my family, my friends, and all of the people that support us out on the water. Praise the lord and see you all at the next tournament.

Some pictures from practice at Santee Cooper lakes for the 2nd stop of the College Bassmaster lunkers trail. Caught them up shallow on a fluke, chatter bait, swim jig, texas rigged craw, and a frog. Fished most of my baits on a 7’2” heavy and a 7’3” heavy with 30lb-40lb braid and a 15lb @fishseaguar red label leader. Never snapped off on a fish😎 The red label is a great bang for the buck fluorocarbon.

Super fun trip down on Santee Cooper for the 2nd stop of the @bassmastercollege Lunkers Trail with @pennstatebassfishing . We may not be as competitive as some of the other teams, but we sure have a lot of fun on these trips and it’s a pleasure getting to represent Penn State. Looking forward to the final stop of the series on the James River in May!

Heading to weigh in I thought that we wouldn’t have enough weight to make top 22 and qualify for the national championship. However, that day life was full of surprises and a total weight of 21lbs 6oz was not only enough to qualify, it was almost enough to put us in the top 10. This was completely unexpected. I’m proud of my partner and I for how we preserved both days and fought for every bite. We couldn’t have done any of this without the help from our friends, family, sponsors, and most importantly, having our teammates from the Penn State Bass Fishing Team there to have our back! Stay tuned for the next stop of the Lunkers Trail at Santee Cooper! #MinnKotaCollege #HumminbirdCollege #bassmastercollegeseries #megawarekeelguard #pennstatebassfishing

Officially a Penn State alum

Crazy to think a couple years ago I wasn’t even going to apply, turns out it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Grateful for the amazing people I met and the countless memories made over the last 3.5 years in State College. #weare
