A true work of art for the garden.

These handwoven willow obelisks are crafted by Eddie Glew of Blithfield Willowcrafts in Staffordshire, England. A second-generation willow weaver, Eddie grows and harvests much of the willow he uses himself before weaving each piece entirely by hand using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. His work has even been recognized by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust for its extraordinary craftsmanship.

Our collection of Eddie’s willow obelisks has completely sold out for the season, but we’re now taking orders for Spring 2027.

In the meantime, we still have a beautiful selection of his handwoven willow hampers in the shop. Every piece is unique, sustainable, and made to last for generations—a celebration of true English craftsmanship.

Spring has quietly arrived in the garden at Marin Country Mart… we have started our spring refresh @marincountrymart with a new hand painted sign from @davissignco

The first bulbs are in bloom, terracotta pots are lined up in that perfect sun-warmed way, and fresh plant deliveries have begun to settle in. It’s that fleeting moment when everything feels possible again—green, tender, and just beginning.

January 6 marks Epiphany, and in France it is traditionally celebrated with la Galette des Rois.

This buttery puff-pastry cake, filled with almond frangipane, dates back to the Middle Ages. Hidden inside is a small porcelain charm, la fève. Whoever finds it is crowned king or queen for the day.

To honor the tradition, we invite you to stop by and celebrate with us — for a slice of galette and a glass of champagne, 2–5pm, while it lasts.

At the end of Covid, I went on my annual trip to Maison Objet trade show in Paris. The city was empty so I took this rare opportunity to stay at the Ritz.
And while the room was beautiful, it was the reception desk that completely stole my heart.
Behind the counter was a wall of leather drawers — gold-leafed, perfectly worn from decades of use. The kind of detail you only notice when you’re really paying attention.

I was obsessed.

I couldn’t stop thinking about how leather can tell a story — how it patinas with touch, sunlight, and life. How something gets more beautiful the more it’s loved.

That moment sparked the idea for our Emily Joubert leather coaster collection.

Each one is crafted in vachetta leather with hand-pressed gold detailing — and just like those Ritz drawers, they’re designed to age gracefully, gathering character from every dinner party, morning coffee, and girls’ night in. They get better with use🤎.
