One of my favourite restaurants in KL. It was thanks to this place that I discovered Kulim; a plant found in the jungle that tastes of garlic and truffle! I tried it in an infused oil over pork braised noodles.

KLSCM 2026
It’s been a while since I last ran a Half Marathon. Big thanks to @fifty_tales for the pre race carb loading noodles. 🍜

This year was a true mental test with zero training due to my plantar fasciitis injury, slowing down for months definitely helped with recovery. Instead of chasing pace, I paced my bro @nelsonteon for his very first HM. Guided him up to 15km before both quads cramped up hard, so it was a mix of walking and running all the way to the finish line. Big thanks to the medics for the cooling gel and spray, that helped me push through the last 6km.

Running this reminded me so much of the days training with all my runner friends. It brought back the original spark and motivation to keep pushing. I will definitely come back stronger next year!

Honoured to serve as an Asia Taste Advisor for the @chineserestaurantawards 2026, a programme founded in Vancouver in 2008 that has grown into a celebration of Chinese cuisine and the people behind it across Canada, the United States and Asia.

As a Malaysian Chinese of Cantonese and Hokkien descent, I grew up with this food at the family table, and seeing it celebrated on this stage is more than I ever imagined.

Representing Malaysia, this year’s Top 50 Honourees include Restaurant Shu, Xip Wah Lau and Yun House among the Elite 25, alongside Fifty Tales, Gerai Makanan Sai Kee, Hai Kah Lang, Peng Chu, Roothouse by Gen and The Teochew Club among the Essential 25. Swipe for the full list.

As families and friends gathered to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival under the moonlight last night, the @prestigemalaysia team looked back on some of the most memorable mooncakes we’ve indulged in this year.

Noodles that taste like home, just better than you remember. 🍜✨

We finally made it to Fifty Tales, the modern Malaysian Chinese spot everyone in KL keeps talking about. Even @katfewd was raving about it.

Handmade noodles, bold broths, and old family flavours dressed up for a new generation.
Tiny room, massive flavour. Worth every trip to this spot.
