Finally have a moment to share pics from my trip to NYC when I got to attend the opening night performance of my client Step Afrika! on Broadway! Their show “Drum Folk” is amazing beyond words. I had the true honor of styling these talented dancers last year for their 25th Anniversary (last image), and now I finally got to see them in action...mind blown. All I’m saying is run, don’t walk to get your tickets to see this show. It literally had me on the edge of my seat the entire show and I got quite the history lesson as well! They tell a superb tale through dance and song of American history when enslaved Africans lost the right to use their drums...what you learn from this is remarkably inspiring. I encourage you all to support this troupe of amazing young Kings and Queens! I can’t believe it took me this long to see a show, but I’m so happy my first experience was in NYC. Congrats to the entire organization on an amazing opening weekend and performance. .
.
They come to the DC area from June 19th to July 12 at the Strathmore...get your tickets and show some love, you will not regret it. I’m going again with my girls...come join us!

Thank you @troypattersondcrealtor for a lovely experience! ❤️❤️ #gayhubbynumberfour

What an honour it was to have @wellhellosandee in our ZOCA class last month! She took the time to come over and try ZOCA on her @stepafrika tour around Africa targeting HIV/AIDS awareness! We loved her energy and having her amazing vibes in our Saturday ZOCA class! Thank you so much Dee! You are such an inspiration! .
