Donations are a big component of organizing.

It is very common for people to reserve a spot in their closet or in their car trunk to gather items until there are “enough” to drive to a donation center. 🚗

It also very common for these items to take up that same space for an extended period of time.

Not on my watch! ⚠️

As a professional organizer, I help my clients pack up all of their donations during their session and have a plan to take them right away. Sometimes my clients take them while I am still there doing my thing. We multitask. ↔️

But where do you take them? There are so many places!

As is the case in everything I do, I am selective and intentional when choosing and suggesting places.
In this video, I share with Ivy why I love Thrift to Thrive and why I am excited to experience a “new to me” organization, Harvest Compassion Center (I couldn’t remember the name 😔).

If you’ve been following our series, you might realize that Ivy and I taped these conversations at the same time back in June. Since then, I did volunteer at Harvest Compassion Center and wow! It was such a special experience. Here’s a hint: as I speak about Thrift to Thrive in this video, I could also be speaking about Harvest Compassion Center.

Please let me help you or someone you care about get rid of those donations! 💜

Yesterday, we celebrated the 2nd anniversary of Women 360, a community of incredible women entrepreneurs who genuinely want to see each other succeed. They share their knowledge, lift each other up, and remind you that when one woman wins, we all win.

Heather has built something truly special over the last two years, and it’s amazing to watch this community continue to grow.

I’m so grateful to be part of it and honored that GMMG was trusted to capture the celebration. Bring the photo booth experience, it was a privilege to place lasting memories into the hands of these incredible women.

Because at the end of the day, the event may end, but the memories live on through a single photograph. 💕📸

People ask me all the time, “How has The Women 360 grown so quickly?”

The answer isn’t puzzling. It’s the sisters.

They love big.
They support fiercely.
They cheer loudly.
They refer enthusiastically.
They teach brilliantly.
And they are committed to excellence in everything they do.

When women genuinely show up for one another, growth is not only possible; it becomes inevitable.

Every sister is a vital piece of The Women 360. Together, we create something extraordinary.

Our first home on our own, whether it was a college dorm room or somewhere else, contained only the things we needed. We shared the space politely with someone else and, since there was no storage space available, we were minimalists. Because we were minimalists we spent our time doing anything besides cleaning every weekend. Our cars had enough space for our stuff when we packed up after each semester.

What if we started treating our homes a little more like those early spaces we once lived in? Keeping what supports us, serves us, and adds value to our daily lives?

Take a look around this week and ask yourself:
Do I need this? Do I use this? Do I love this?

If the answer is no, it may be time to let it go.

Less stuff doesn’t mean less life, it often means more peace, more space, and more room for what matters most.✌️💜

🎥 Neet Meets Numbers
with Karen Ulinski & Ivy Kirkman

This week Ivy and I discuss the impact of clutter on a person’s mental health.

Clutter is chaos; it takes up space, it is a distraction, and adds weight for us to carry.

Our minds do not have an unlimited amount of space just as our homes and workplaces do not. Senses create feelings, so while our eyes are scanning over clutter in front of us our bodies are storing the heavy weight of it.

Let’s take our bedrooms, for example.

Beds are the core of our bedrooms. When your bed is made you are less likely to put things on it rather than putting them away. This action flows into keeping your dresser cleaned off, into keeping your closet organized, etc. Instead of clutter there is calm.

We all know how important sleep is and we all know how cruddy we feel without it. In order for anything, or anyone, to fulfill their core duties to the fullest, they must be appreciated, respected, and supported. Including inanimate objects.

What is your bed saying to you? Is it thanking you for taking care of it by helping you sleep at night? Or, is it messy and letting you toss & turn all night trying to get comfortable?

Also- when you share space with others at home or at work it is important to be considerate. Because how we treat our space is a reflection of our self respect and how we treat shared/other people’s space is a reflection of our respect for them.

Who do YOU know carrying extra weight from clutter? I’d love an email introduction.

Welcome to our series!

Ivy and I met at a business development class hosted by The Women 360 and quickly realized that we’d like to work together. But in what capacity? A quick conversation revealed that our clients have things in common. We decided to come together and help you create more clarity, confidence, and peace of mind through financial planning and organization.

In our first video we share our perspectives regarding people, oftentimes, feeling embarrassed to get started with financial planning or organizing their spaces. These are vulnerable areas for people and it is important to work with professionals you feel comfortable with.

We hope you enjoy these videos!

There’s no better perspective than hearing directly from someone in the program! Here’s what one of our Financial Representatives had to share.
