My countdown (11 days) to being a “woman of a certain age.” Rachel Martin @findingjoy says to stop and consider how we’re seeing our lives, seeing the world around us. Because, instead of looking through lenses of comparison, criticism, fear or worry, it’s better to pause and consider the clarity that comes when we wear lenses of #love.
It’s a reminder I need right now (and one I’ve needed plenty of times in the past). My life likely WILL present more complications, messiness, and sadness in the years that lie ahead, a friend told me today. But love rekindles courage and keeps the heart open.

The beauty of the word 'AND'.. 😍😍

Listen to the new podcast, 'Unwell Not Undone' on Spotify and on Substack where we talk about how the word 'And' allows us to learn two truths can exist together, side by side in a life lived with chronic illness.
Neither cancelling the other out.

Grief AND glimmers.

Episode 1 out now.
Episode 2 dropping next Thursday.

“LIFE ISN’T EITHER/OR. IT’S BOTH.” Most everyone I know is experiencing hard things right now - a car wreck, their fur baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge, taking care of aging parents. I know we’re also enjoying beautiful things rn - a cool new job, traveling to music festivals, publishing a first book. We’re so conditioned in Western Society to think in terms of duality - the Either/Or Trap. Life mimics the ocean with ebbs and flows. The water isn’t still all the time. Nor is it nonstop waves. When we can accept that - the non duality of Life - we can settle in for the ride, & surf. That’s the sweet spot! #lifelonglearner #surfergirl #nonduality #existential #trippin thx @tinybuddhaofficial @finding_joy

This is so true. We don't know what kinds of moments or experiences, thoughts or emotions someone else is carrying. I love that we can add a moment or an experience of kindness to someone's story. ❤️
