28 shows, 2 different islands, 2 different oceans, ~11,250 kilometres, 9 provinces, 100+ Tim Hortons visits, 4 van breakdowns, 5 dudes, one band, and one mission: play some damn tunes.
Thank you to everybody who showed up, stuck around, bought merch and wanted to hear some music while we went farther than we ever thought we’d go, again. And a bigger thank you to every venue we played at, every promoter, and everyone who let us stay on their couch or in their driveway while we pushed it TO THE LIMIT! See you all next year, but hopefully sooner!🙏

Welp it's official! After 28 shows, 9 provinces, and 4 van breakdowns we are finally home from our cross Canada tour 🇨🇦

We will be playing our homecoming show on August 1st in Nanaimo @theglobelivestudio with Ripcordz, Mean Bikini and more, so come say hi 🔥

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to a show, bought merch, or helped us with the van troubles. Y'all made this the biggest and best tour we've ever done!

Thanks to all the amazing promotors and bands who helped us out this together as well, couldn't have done it without y'all 💚

And of course, thanks so much to @shoe_o1 for coming along, selling merch, and helping get us to the shows safely 💪

Can't wait to see what's next for this band, we will be catching all our Western Canadian homies this October on tour across BC and Alberta, more info to come sooon 👀

I’m back covering another band I saw at Loophole this Friday. I had the pleasure of seeing Danger Box from Nanaimo BC twice in one weekend! And I couldn’t wait to share their CD.

Danger Box combines elements of pop punk and the heavier side of hardcore that was so prominent in the late 2000s. It’s very clear that they took a lot of inspiration from that era, I had a pleasure of talking to their lead singer Finn and his love for the MySpace era of music really shows through.

The design of the cover is a direct callback to the demos of that era as well. What I like about this band is their ability to take such soft choruses and have just nasty breakdowns with it. This show was a trip because it was chaotic as hell and quite frankly I had to brace for impact multiple times.

If you love that era of MySpace and the heavier side of “easycore” I strongly recommend Dangerbox, they been on the road for years and have an attitude of a classic hardworking touring band.
