POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
🤍 ◯ Yesterday morning, we woke up to Jenna’s story and In Her Circle on the front page of not one, but two newspapers.

When we started in May 2026, our goal was to raise $16,000 for a drop-in support group for mothers experiencing postpartum depression. We met that goal fast. So we raised it to $32,000, and met that too. Then we raised it to $50,000, and surpassed it.
Something was happening. People were showing up with their money, their platforms, their businesses, their stories and their support. We quickly understood this was bigger than a fundraiser. The gap is wider than we ever imagined. The need is bigger than one program. And people are ready to build something better.

We heard you, loud and clear. We won’t stop here.

Seeing this coverage was beautiful, powerful and bittersweet, because Jenna’s death was preventable. Knowing that the care she needed is finally being recognized and fought for is painful too. Her children are growing up without their mother. And our community is still heartbroken by her loss.

But we now know what grief can become when it’s transformed into a fierce commitment to change.

So with our hearts on our sleeves, we say THANK YOU.

To the journalists and media who chose to tell this story with care.
To the health care professionals who show up for mothers every day.
To our board members and volunteers.
To our partners, our donors and our followers.
To everyone who told us to keep going, and gave us their unconditional support.
To our community, our friends, and the family who held our babies while we worked late into the night.
To the survivors, whose courage in sharing their stories lights the way.
To every single person who has poured their heart and time into this movement.

This movement is rippling outward, and it’s because of you. For those who are still fighting and for those we have lost, we won't stop pushing for families, mothers and children of British Columbia.

Thank you. 🤍 ◯

Remember when we said something bigger was coming? 👀

We're finally ready to share it.

It's official! In Her Circle is now a registered nonprofit. 🎉

Our mission is to close gaps in perinatal mental health care — mobilizing communities through fundraising, storytelling, and advocacy.

This photo is just a small piece of the community that got us here. So many hands helped get this off the ground — and if you stick around, we'll introduce you to the many beautiful faces who continue to make it possible. We have deep gratitude for our circle of friends, volunteers, partners who held our children while we worked and the community who showed up, shared, donated, and collaborated with us since we started back in May.

Let’s get to work!

A circle of care around every mother, growing since May 2026.

Right now, the BC government is asking people across the province what should matter most in next year’s budget. We have an opportunity to tell decision-makers: perinatal mental health matters.

You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need to be a policy person. You just need about 10 minutes and your own voice.

Submissions close Friday, June 19 at 2:00PM Pacific.

In Her Circle has three recommendations:

❤️ Fund BC’s Perinatal Mental Health Strategy — including a real focus on maternal suicide prevention and intervention.
❤️ Build North America’s first Mother-Baby Mental Health Unit at BC Women’s Hospital, so moms in crisis are never separated from their babies.
❤️ Track and publicly report on maternal mental health, so we actually know what’s working.

If you believe in this cause and want to add your voice, comment on this message and we will DM you a quick submission guide.

Every submission is counted, and every voice makes this harder to ignore.
