Is this the best shawarma in Edmonton? 👀 @firema_canada is a food truck specializing in charcoal smoked shawarma. They just opened this summer and they’re already quite popular! What’s different about their shawarma is that it’s smoked over a charcoal grill right in their truck, both the beef and chicken. I tried both and I can’t decide which one I like more! They offer both wraps and bowls. If you’re looking for something different from traditional shawarma, try the Italian shawarma. It’s their chicken shawarma tossed in a creamy sauce, served panini style with melted cheese. For some crunch, the Zinger features crispy tenders wrapped in saj bread. Edmonton, I just found the BEST shawarma I’ve had since living in the Middle East 🤤🔥 I spent a semester abroad in the Middle East 14 years ago, and I’ve been DREAMING about the shawarma I ate there ever since. I honestly hadn’t found anything that compared… until I tried @firema_canada smoked shawarma. They cook huge chicken & beef skewers over charcoal, giving the meat that smoky, tender, melt-in-your-mouth flavour 🤌 And the sauces?! SO good. We tried both the chicken & beef wraps, crisped to perfection and served with a mountain of fries, plus the chicken rice bowl! I’d plan to grab your food to go, or you can order through Uber Eats, Skip or DoorDash. Their menu includes chicken and beef shawarma wraps, Arabi-style shawarma, bowls, loaded fries and family platters, with sauces like garlic, dynamite and pomegranate molasses which add even more flavour 🔥 What’s also nice is they have a buzzer system so you don’t have to stand in line while waiting for the food, and they’re also available for online delivery through Uber Eats, Skip, and DoorDash.
