POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

it’s been a full year already, some of it heavy.

and still, here we are. grateful. counting it all joy.

the community connector grant is supporting the next series of reup, and that means everything. reup is free (and always will be) thanks to the generous support of the asc and the homies who make it real, from the band to the fam.

reup is our signature production function. half broadcast, half performance, a whole vibe.

and tomorrow is a real treat. our featured artist is my dad, kicking us off with a brief performance before we open the jam and make some new energy together to carry us through the next month.

come release for a little bit. have fun, express, connect, create and partake of the medicine that is music. all age and experience levels welcomed.

free parking, refreshments, and a room that holds space. be in the building if you need that feeling.

What a night!
Closing CIAF with friends, laughter, and endless thanks to the amazing team and artists who made it all possible.
It is a big honor to be part of it, all the time.

It has been an honor to work on @chromatic.roots The opportunity to create alongside so many talented people has truly been life-changing. Everyone in the space has been incredibly supportive in helping my vision—and the visions of other artists—come to life.
For me, fighting stagnation looked like showing up for the project in any way I could, even if it just meant stopping by to be present and check in on the art family. I wouldn’t have anything to show if it weren’t for this collective supporting my ideas. Everyone contributed with such grace and generosity.
I’m beyond excited to bring people I know into this immersive art experience and let them get lost in this magical world.

My main contribution to @chromatic.roots is a projection of myself. It’s what I imagine the inside of my brain looks like.

I didn’t know it, but I’ve been working towards this for 17 years since my college roommate taught me how to crochet.

Since I’m always inside my own brain, it seems pretty ordinary to me and I don’t really think about it. It’s just everyday me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The followjng is a few images I captured of friends reacting to my space during the final stages. They make me think, “Maybe the inside of my brain really is something magical and captivating.” 🥰🥰🥰

I’m not sure if that’s true, maybe it just shows the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. Either way, you should come by and see it for yourself!

@chromatic.roots opens August 1st 2025 at the @artsplus.clt Community Campus in Plaza Midwood! Follow @chromatic.roots for updates on ticketing and events.

This installation features more than 30 local artists and musicians, and explores themes of fighting apathy and stagnation - not everyone has to run into a burning building to be a hero; they could save the world by simply showing up and making space for others to grow.

Chromatic Roots is hosted by @artsplus.CLT
