🎬 THE WILDE SISTERS IS COMING TO RTÉ2! 🎃 I’m absolutely delighted to announce that The Wilde Sisters will be screening on @rte2 this Monday 26th October at 11.35pm for @rteshortscreen just in time for Halloween! After an incredible two years travelling to film festivals across Ireland and internationally, I couldn’t think of a better way to bring this chapter of the film’s journey to a close than to have it broadcast on national television and available on RTÉ Player for months afterwards. When we set out to make this little film in Monaghan, I could never have imagined the journey it would take us on. We’ve had some wonderful experiences, met incredible people and received recognition that has meant so much to all of us. But none of it would have been possible without the amazing cast and crew who believed in this story and gave so generously of their time and talent, our wonderful crowdfunders, and the support of @creativemonaghan and @monaghan_coco County Council. I’m forever grateful to every single person who helped us get here. To see The Wilde Sisters reach a national audience feels like such a fitting reward for all that hard work. This film was made with so much love, determination and belief, and I genuinely feel it deserves to be seen by as many people as possible. And perhaps the loveliest part of all is that Mary and Emily Wilde, two women who were forgotten for so long, will now have their story told in homes across Ireland. 'The Balkan Cowboy' wins Best Feature Documentary at the Adelaide Film Festival @adlfilmfest 🤠 Huge thank you to the Jury, the festival team for the invite and for an incredible week for director @dragana23 at this very special festival "I am so happy to learn of the Best Documentary Award for The Balkan Cowboy. I spent wonderful, fun, and inspiring days at the Adelaide Film Festival 2026. My heartfelt thanks to the Jury and the brilliant team there. The festival was a welcoming, warm, and inclusive space, and I am so fortunate to have had the chance to attend. I would like to thank my producers Zlata Filipović, Anna Rodgers and co-producer Oliver Sertić, the brilliant cast and crew, the family of Hari Džekson and the people of Bijeljina where we shot this film. Taking a moment to recognise the talent and work of our 🎥cinematographer, Brian Durcan, who won the Seamus McGarvey Cinematography Award at Louth International Film Festival for his work on our RTÉ Storyland drama, Collision.💥 🏆 Brian was not only our cinematographer but part of our trio and a driving force behind the project. Alongside his OG collaborator, director/writer Michael Carolan, whose teamwork and creative vision is the reason Collision exists🥰 👏 Congratulations, Brian — this one is very well deserved. A shout-out to the entire camera, lighting and grip departments on Collision. A great team effort all round. A smashing success screening Irish Farmers: A Love Story @clonmelapplefest! The Co. Tipperary community gathered at @clonmelapplefest to watch Irish Farmers: A Love Story and to hear from one of the Tipperary stars herself, @brookfield.farm @ailbhegerrard on the impact of Irish agriculture facing challenges of food sovereignty, land ownership, and government policies. The film features three extraordinary women, Ailbhe Gerrard, @croseingrave @burrenviewfarm, and @sophie_bell__ Among the panelists were Daniel Long, Rathkeevan farmer, vice-chair of Tipperary Macra na Feirme and member of the European Commission expert group on the Land Observatory @macranafeirme; Jennifer Nickerson, CEO of @tippdistillery; and Alice Devine, chef and organic farmer in South Tipperary. Moderating the panel was Dr. Alan Moore of @hedgerowsireland The film is the first FoodTankFilms original documentary short, executive produced by Danielle Nierenberg and Bernard Pollack, directed and produced by @havenworley_ Moving between their farms and their lives, the film looks at farming not simply as food production, but as a relationship with land, community and the generations to come.
