Introducing the First Year Advisory Board members for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. The FYAB is made up of students who serve as ambassadors for the First Year Core Studio Program. This group of students helps build community within the First Year Program and throughout the college. Here they are to introduce themselves.

Hello, I am Avery! I am a Painting & Drawing major, minoring in History of Art and Visual Culture and a 2nd year here at CCA. I love fish and the ocean as I hail from Maui, Hawai’i. You can find me around the city as I love to travel to yummy eats! I enjoy singing and scuba diving in my free time!

Feel free to check out my art at fishiestboy !!! 🐟 🐠

Thanksgiving and the end of the fall semester are very close together this year. Here is how one of the members of the First Year Advisory Board spent their Thanksgiving this year.

Avery: For my Thanksgiving, I spent it sick :( I was duel-wielding different cold medicines in bed when I would have rather been out exploring SF as I had planned. This forced me to get done with a lot of computer work and painting stuff done in my dorm room. It was a busy holiday weekend, so I had to finish the final projects. As for Thanksgiving day, I had a delicious non-traditional dinner of quesabirria tacos!
