In honor of attending #CLA2026 with @advcardiohealth let’s go back down memory lane! In June 2024 I was the heaviest and in the poorest health ever. I had severe preeclampsia and weighed in for my c-section with the twins at 279 lbs. 😱 Once I delivered the girls I fought for my life and was on a magnesium drip for two weeks. My blood pressure continued to skyrocket for months after I delivered the girls. I was on daily medication for hypertension. In September 2024 I was 50 lbs lighter, but I was stalling and no matter what I did I was stuck. I reached out to my primary care provider and she recommended I try Zepbound. That medication changed my life. I was finally seeing the scale move. However, weight loss is one piece of the puzzle—I needed to be healthy. I wanted to gain years back of my life. That is where @fit.abbie comes in. She set my macros, planned my workouts, and coached me to the best health of my life. Anyone that tells you GLP1s are a shortcut aren’t seeing the whole picture. GLP1s are a tool with the potential to help many. I have four children and a husband, work a very demanding full time job, and teach graduate students. I have to find time every week to plan meals and work out. Some weeks are better than others! After losing 125 lbs, being consistent is key. I am so honored that I was chosen by @advcardiohealth to be a patient advocate. I will go to Washington, DC this weekend to represent all the mamas that battled preeclampsia and came out of the other side. I also go to advocate for everyone that can benefit from a GLP1, but can’t afford them/don’t have access to them. Are you better than Olympic athletes?
Are you above the laws of

adaptation that require time, volume, recovery, refinement?

NO.

Olympic athletes compete once every four years.

And even then, what you see on that stage is built on decades of reps.

Refinement.Losing.Adjusting.Repeating.

If they competed every single year without proper development,there wouldn’t be a show to watch.

They wouldn’t improve.
They wouldn’t peak.
They wouldn’t evolve.

So let me ask you something uncomfortable:
Why do you expect your body to transform in 30 days?

Yet every month you’re frustrated that you don’t look like the version of yourself that takes years to build.

Yes, you can feel better in 30 days.
Yes, you can see early progress.

The strong,Lean,Confident,
Unshakable version
Is built in year cycles.

Not six-week challenges.
Not panic cuts.
Not “let me try this one more quick thing.”
Real results are built from real systems. Systems that account for your stress.
Your life.Your seasons.Your evolution.

If you want fast?
I’m not your coach.

If you want to build something that still exists a year from now, and five years from now,

That’s different.
Break your year into quarters.
Train in seasons.Refine. Adjust. Repeat.
That’s how athletes are built.

And you don’t get to skip the reps just because you’re impatient.

The closing of a chapter 🥲

I didn’t think I would get the post comp blues

Maybe because I didn’t get the post wedding blues

But TBH I don’t even think it’s as much regarding the comp as it is me ending my chapter here in AZ…

I posted something on my story yesterday about how I was feeling

And I had a bunch of incredible people reach out 🫶

And in so I realized, I am feeling the emotions I am feeling (low motivation, sadness, grief, tired) because I am quite literally closing a chapter

A chapter that changed my life

A chapter where

⚡️Cam and I moved in together
⚡️We got engaged
⚡️And then had the most beautiful bach and wedding here
⚡️I developed the most incredible, life long friendships
⚡️Gnarly’s was created
⚡️I fell in love with Powerlifting and did my first comp
⚡️I slowed down, fell in love with myself, and brought back a part of me that was missing for so long

The last 3 years have been the best years of my life.

And as sad is it makes me that a chapter is closing,

I know that in a week, another chapter is going to start

So I can grieve the closing of this chapter, while still feeling excited for the next

And as a lot of you in my DM’s reminded me “you can feel two things at once” ✨

Today I hit 1,000 days of tracking in MyFitnessPal 📲. What started as a habit has turned into something I genuinely enjoy. Learning to track macros 🍽️ has helped me feel more in control—and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for how I feel, move, and show up every day ✨.

I’ve been focused on my health journey since 2018 🛤️, and it’s been so rewarding—but these last 1,000 days have been especially meaningful. Big thanks to my coach @fit.abbie and @prpseathletics 🙌 for helping me level up, stay accountable ✅, and just get better all around.

And this moment—jumping on the trampoline with my 3-year-old grandson in his Tigger PJs 🐯💛—is exactly why I do it.

It’s not about six-packs or perfection. It’s about having the strength 💥 and energy to keep up with the people I love—and say yes to moments like this 💫.

If you’ve ever felt stuck or unsure where to start, I get it—I’ve been there too. For me, it began with just one small step 👣… and then another. It wasn’t perfect, but it was consistent.
And 1,000 days of consistency? It feels better than I ever imagined. 🌟
