It’s more than moves. It’s discipline, coordination, focus, and heart.
Sometimes even the trainer has an emotional moment. But she doesn’t let it stop her from showing up, teaching, and giving her all to the people she trains.

Because strength isn’t about never having emotions — it’s about feeling them and still moving forward.

Keep fighting. Keep showing up. Give it your all.

Today’s workout was a little different… and that’s okay!
Today we learned that we don’t always have to go fast, go hard, or push ourselves to the limit.

Sometimes, we need to slow down.

We need to feel the movement, stretch, breathe, and truly connect with what our bodies are doing. When we slow down, we can feel every movement and become more aware of our strength, balance, and body.

Today, Michelle reminded us of just that. She guided us through slow, intentional movements and showed us that slowing down can be just as powerful as pushing hard.
Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is slow down, breathe, stretch, and listen to our bodies.

Today wasn’t about how fast we could go.
It was about being present in every movement.

Every week, no matter which trainer the members see, they show up and keep putting in the work every single time.”

We missed Michelle over the long summer! It’s wonderful to have her back. Her energy, positivity, and dedication were truly missed, and seeing her back each week will be such a joy. We’re so happy to have her back and look forward to making up for all the time we missed!

Every month, Michelle comes in and gives them everything they need to become fit, strong, healthy members of society. She helps guide them in their roles and teaches them never to give up. They are a team, and she stands beside them every step of the way. She pushes them when they need encouragement, but never too hard. She is patient and understanding, yet she doesn’t let them settle for less than their best.

This important part of daily life is something truly special for this young group as they transition into adulthood, learning responsibility, confidence, teamwork, and the strength to keep moving forward no matter what challenges come their way.

These young adults move with such easy confidence, and it really shows the hard work they put in day after day—building strength, stability, and so much more. A workout is about more than just health; it’s about discipline, growth, and showing up for yourself. Thank you, Michelle, for making it all look so effortless—you truly are the best.

Mikey’s Place hosts a wonderful annual Camp & Resource Fair for the disability community. I love participating each year at this welcoming, family friendly event, to share information with families and connect with other organizations supporting families with a loved one with a disability.
Here are photos of just some of the organizations that were there. (You can see all the exhibitors on the video on my Special Family Transitions Facebook page).
I was honored to share about my special needs divorce and transition resources.
