Three weeks until @fitcampsworld on the Proms in Blackpool! 🎉 I'm so excited to be presenting there for the first time. I've been presenting for over 10 years, and a new event still gives me the jitters (the good kind, mostly). This one is epic, run by fabulous people, with a line-up of amazing presenters… no pressure! 🤣 I'm also still a bit giddy that I placed second for best UK presenter at the British Fitness Awards in September. Lovely, but now I feel like I'd better turn up and not make them regret it! 😅 I'll be teaching the gorgeous @mossa.uk Group Centergy, which won best holistic programme at the same awards. It's a real joy to teach, and I can't wait to share why it's so loved with everyone in the room. 💚 Who's coming? Tell me so I can look out for you and give you a big wave! #fitcampsontheprom #fitcamps #fitnessevents #fitnesspresenter

🚀 JUST ANNOUNCED! FITNESS PROFESSIONALS – THIS ONE'S FOR YOU! I’m SO excited to announce that on 5th December, I’ll be delivering a brand-new, immersive 4-hour WalkActive Educational Workshop, in collaboration with @fitpro_ltd Fitness Professionals! We've been working towards this for some time, and I can't wait to bring it to life! 🚶‍♀️ Because it's time we stopped simply telling people to walk more – and started helping our clients and community to walk BETTER. This is about taking walking beyond step counts and helping you, as a fitness professional, understand how better walking technique can make a meaningful difference to posture, pace, physical confidence, joint health, core stability, balance and mental wellbeing. ✨ And here's what makes this workshop different... You'll experience The WalkActive Method for yourself. You'll FEEL the difference that better walking can make, while exploring the science, practical techniques and evidence-informed coaching principles that you can take into your work with clients. My goal? To make this a genuinely educational, empowering and immersive experience that leaves you inspired, informed and excited about the impact you can make. Because when we help people walk better, we're not just improving how they move. We're helping them feel better, build confidence and get more from everyday life. 📅 5th December 🎓 4-hour immersive WalkActive Workshop 🤝 In collaboration with Fitness Professionals 💚 Want to be first to know when bookings open? Happy World Menopause Day. Get comfy!☕ Menopause is one day: twelve months after your last period. But the symptoms can show up years before and linger for years after. And it’s not just hot flushes. Brain fog, joint pain, itching, dryness, fatigue, plus the quiet ones you can’t feel, like bone density, heart health and where your body decides to keep its fat. Dozens of symptoms, and no two women have the same dance card. Nobody’s menopause looks like anybody else’s. Different symptoms, different timings, different needs. So anyone offering a one-size-fits-all answer is selling you something. Why are so many of us in the dark? Women’s health has been under-funded, under-researched and under-represented for decades. Women were kept out of clinical trials for years because our hormones fluctuate and made the data “messy”. It’s improving, but women are still left out of some studies. And don’t even get me started on funding for studies for women’s health issues versus funding for men’s health issues. Today it’s unequal is a vast understatement. Where there’s a gap, the charlatans step in. Menopause is finally getting the attention it deserves (about time), which makes it a very profitable thing to scare women with. “Menopause” creams, supplements and workouts all lean on the idea that menopause is a disease to be feared. It isn’t. It’s hard for lots of us but not a disease in the same way ageing is not a disease. A few things you need to know: 🔹 “Natural” isn’t a safety standard. Body-identical HRT is regulated, tested and available on the NHS. Unregulated “bioidentical” compounded hormones are sold as natural but are not. They come from the same source ingredient and are made in a lab with no regulation. 🔹 There’s no such thing as a menopause workout. There’s you, your history, your goals and what you enjoy. Good coaching adapts to the person. 🔹 Bad information is no better than none. Women deserve better. What we’re asking for is simple: good information and evidence-based treatment, whether that’s for a season or for life. Got questions? Pop them below. No sales pitch, just a #worldm

One of the biggest myths I hear is that building muscle in your 40s and beyond is impossible.⁣ ⁣ It isn’t.⁣ ⁣ Yes, hormonal changes mean it takes a little more intention than it did in your twenties and thirties—but your body is still remarkably capable of building and maintaining muscle.⁣ ⁣ And this matters because muscle is so much more than aesthetics. It’s your metabolic engine. It supports your bones, blood sugar, strength, mobility and healthy ageing.⁣ ⁣ Here are six evidence-based habits that make the biggest difference.⁣ ⁣ Save this checklist for your next workout and share it with a woman who needs the reminder: you’re not too old—your strategy just needs to evolve.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ For more myth debunking and practical tips to support you from midlife onwards order my book Food for Menopause from the link in my bio ⬆️✨ ⁣ ⁣ #musclemass #muscle #menopause #muscleinmidlife #foodformenopause ⁣
