So many exciting things are coming, and I can’t wait to share! As we prepare, we had the special opportunity to experience Brandon Clarke’s “Rest Stops & Reckonings” at the Historic Hampton House. Such an inspiring part of what’s unfolding. Stay tuned for what’s next! ✨

THREEEE YEARRRSSSSSS!!!!! But we made it to the finish line and I look forward to yall seeing what me and @amanilewis_ created as a love note to Miami. This was our first Art in Public places commission, entitled, “Say Cheese!” It went through a couple iterations but we landed right where it needed to be. Thankful to all the amazing Miami folks that took part, yall have all changed and fed the city in so many ways, so it was an honor to have you all be a part of this work, including the folks who don’t live here but have impacted me or Amani in the best ways.

Amani and me were deeply going through life during this process and are sooooo thankful for the tremendous help from Anna and Amanda over at @artinpublicplacesmdc too! It feels like it would’ve been impossible without their support and guidance.

We will be leading a guided tour of our work for Art Basel and would love for y’all to come out! I unfortunately cannot add the link because it’s too long, friends, BUT you can find it on the official Art Basel Site and eventbrite.

Miami, I LOVE YOU FOREVER, AMOR!

Last month, Miami Shores Friendly Villagers invited me to speak on The Power of Me.

Which,of course, reflects right back as the power of YOU.

We explored the quiet ways our beliefs shape our lifestyle, vitality & purpose.

How often do we make ourselves uncomfortable to keep others comfortable, then wonder why we’re exhausted?

How easily does “I’ve got it” become “no one helps me”?

And how many patterns don’t even look like patterns? They sound like personality:

I’m independent. I’m responsible. It’s easier if I do it myself.

There’s a clip here where I share how becoming a fitness magazine cover model after 50 was followed by a brain tumor diagnosis & months of uncertainty.

It brought up those “life flashing before my eyes” questions worth asking before life forces us to:

What really matters? What am I postponing? Where am I spending my precious life force?

Looking at how I’ve been feeling or living - is this how I want to experience my next 5/10 years- if I have the privilege of living them ?

Listen, I don’t believe everything happens for a reason.

Things happen. Some beautiful. Some brutal. Some we would never choose.

But we still get to choose what we make of what happens.

And you don’t need a crisis to begin choosing differently.

We spend so much energy trying to create MORE energy while overlooking where it’s leaking: resentment, guilt, fear, shame, comparison, people pleasing, performing, chasing, fixing.

Even wellness can steal our life force when optimizing ourselves becomes another full-time job.

That’s why my work has evolved beyond workouts & nutrition to include beliefs, stress, nervous system & DNA-based health coaching.

Not MORE to monitor, manage or perfect.

More understanding of YOU. Deeply.Less chasing. Fewer open tabs. More peace, joy, energy for what actually matters.

Because your attention is your life force. And your power.

Where has yours been going?

And what becomes possible when YOU decide, where it goes next? ❤️

Still thinking about the conversations we had at @wellistweek . So many gems, so much perspective, and so much to keep carrying forward.

There is peace in a shifting mindset.

Growth asks us to expand, question what we thought we knew, and stay open to seeing things differently.

Wellness is action. Accountability is practice. Becoming is the work.

Where are you being invited to shift?

Follow @morningmindsetwithtai …how you begin is half the win.
