POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Next week at Tower Tavern, students from the @uniwestminster’s Architecture and Design Foundation course take a closer look at the street just outside our doors - observing, drawing and imagining possibilities for its public realm.

Cleveland Street Public Realm brings together their drawings and ideas, developed through looking at how people use, move through and experience urban space, and informed by the work of Jane Jacobs, Gordon Cullen, Jan Gehl, Susanne Patman and William H. Whyte.

Come by, see the work and add another perspective to the conversation about the street we share.

📅 Thursday 29th October
⏰ 2-6PM
📍 Tower Tavern, 21 Clipstone Street, Fitzrovia

Free and open to all.

What a start to Winter 26 - a kind of hit the ground running kind of start - kicking off with our after-school classes the week of the 7th September.

In some schools we finish next Friday for half-term, in some the week after.

👩‍🍳 Cooking with over 250 cooks per week

👨‍🍳 Fantastic 9 Cook Leads running the clubs

AND we have been busy with our paperwork; - updating annual risk assessments, ensuring we are compliant with Benedicts Law AND

Managing room changes too - one school the planned building work isnt finished so we are making the cooking classes (all 5 per week) happen in the staff room. There is great excitement from the cooks that they are in the staff room!!!

And another school there was a room clash so we are making the class happen in a restricted room.

But we are used to;

👨‍🍳 Being Flexible
👩‍🍳 Making it work safely

To give the next generation the chance to COOK “Proper Food”.......Stuffed Feta Peppers, Enchiladas, Apricot Pastries and so more (cant give all the recipes away…)

Contact us at hello@mixandmunch.com to set up at your school in January!

That's a wrap on Summer HAF 2026! ☀️⚽

This summer we welcomed 370+ young people across 14 sites in 10 London boroughs, and what a summer it was.

🍎 2,400+ nutritious, healthy meals served
💛 70+ young people with SEND supported
🏈 American football, fencing, cricket, tennis, table tennis and badminton
🎨 Arts & crafts, STEM, nutrition learning and talent shows
🎢 Trips, new friendships and memories that will last

But the best part? Watching our young people grow in confidence, try new things and leave with new skills and new friends. Hearing "I want to come again to the next camp!" never gets old. 🙌

A huge thank you to every parent, carer and young person who joined us, to our brilliant coaches and staff, and to the councils, schools, venues and partners who supported and funded this programme. None of it happens without you. ❤️

Our Bollywood duet by @bollyred_uk brought some great energy to Fitzrovia Fete 2026, with those iconic Bollywood scores getting the crowd moving. The workshop that followed saw plenty of audience members join in and pick up a few moves themselves.
Thank you to everyone who came along, and thanks to @fitzroviacommunitycentre for hosting us! Swipe through for a few snapshots from the day
