Taking in all the dahlia beauty while I can. The cold is coming so this is likely the last of them. A tough season, but they sure were spectacular. Thanks @fiveforkfarms for working so hard to bring us all this colorful joy. 😍

Robin Hood was one of the first dahlias to bloom this season and is still going strong. Each flower is a little different, and each complements the next. Sourced from Fivefork Farms in Upton, MA, these have definitely been a favorite this season.

The final week of beautiful blooms from our friends @fiveforkfarms - what a gift it is to host their farm share.

First, what a difference a day makes (if you’re local, you know)

Second, if you’ve ever tried to grow #dahlias especially is this area (again, if you’re local, you know!) you can appreciate the joy of these glorious blooms…it only took 5 months of intermittent drought / excessive rain, thrips, powdery mildew, and one (very) hungry caterpillar to get them a few weeks (?) before the first freeze. Oh well, still no better way to relax with a good book and cup of coffee on a day off.

Green Beach Chair Stripe Compote. It’s a mouthful but she shore is purty.

And of course there was time in the dahlia field to wander, admire and pick blooms before dinner. The field is filled with loads of gorgeous dahlias and sleepy bees 🐝.

Annual In a Field of Dahlias Dinner with @fiveforkfarms & @field_and_vine - a beautiful & tasty time. Even though it was a rainy & damp day the tent was filled with the warmth of so many people that love & support this team. Such a fun event.
