🗻 @alpinehearts 2026

Such an honour to be invited since the beginning to this creative and innovative climbing festival.

Went out shooting with the Alpine Hearts bolting team and the organisers to set out for a few days of bolting.

Curious what hefty have set up?
@goescheneralp is the place to go! —> “Alpine Hearts Crag”

When @danloutrel commented last year during @alpinehearts there were some lines that could be interesting to clean, we didn't hesitate to the opportunity and immediately said yes.

The Alpinehearts team (and honorary team members) jumped into work for almost a week long. Cleaning and bolting with rain and sun.

@caroclimbsnthings and I had the chance to work on one of the multipitches (first topo in the pictures), which ended up being a beautiful chimney in the first pitch (unless you climb it like @ian.cooper101 in the first ascend), and a perfect finger to hand jam in the second pitch (perfect for people with thin hands 😄). It was such an amount of work to clean it, that we needed a second party to help in the process (thank you, @followthetinyowl and @brinkmannship for joining the root and dust party).

Meanwhile, other team members worked hard to get another Klettergarten in the Göscheneralp open for everybody to try! (the last topos in this post) 🐸 so we are hoping you go and enjoy them!

The Alpinehearts sector includes:
-Klettergarten with 4 routes
- Back to the roots, 2 pitches, trad (with one anchor for a future abseil piste)
- Um Ziege und Züge, 2 pitches, curretly a project - you will see a sign to not climb it (thus the topo was not included here)

Remember to wear helmets, as the crag is new still.

Thanks also to our sponsors Alpinehearts Verein, @fixehardware, and @varapfantastic for providing the bolts.

We’re back with another post!
Drilling is one of the most exciting steps in developing a climbing area! While it can change how the rock looks, thoughtful planning can keep the visual impact low and promote sustainability. In a high-humidity area like Indonesia, stainless steel hardware is preferred because of its corrosion resistance and long lifespan. We chose to use stainless steel ½-inch 5-piece sleeve bolts combined with the ½-inch hangers from Fixe Hardware and installed minimalistic lower-off anchors combining a ring hanger with a quick link hanger. (Note: In coastal areas, titanium is the best bet!). Once the hangers were installed, we torqued the bolts according to the factory recommendation. Before wrapping up, we added practice anchors at ground level so that newer climbers can practice route cleaning in a low-risk situation. Let’s climb!

*Thanks to Joe for sharing some of the pictures in this post.

No partner, no problem. I’m doin’ it solo! What a treat to be able to put up a new route by myself in such a beautiful setting. The rock is amazing, the bolts are IN and it should be another great 5.12. Can’t believe I’m still using that PIKA rope pro after all these years!!!

the grass is pretty green here too.

happy fiscal new year. every season builds off the last & suddenly you find yourself doing something you once dreamed of. this last season was among the most memorable. haven’t been editing many vids cause we’ve just been out there doin it.

not much left to do in these mountains except keep going where no one else has gone.

lots more i could say but not much i need to.

thx to the homies for keeping it real - lots more rad shit to do.

fiscal year 2026-27 here we go.

🤔🤔 ummm but wait that’s not Sicily… read on ☀️☀️

This week as Eva’s been away from Sicily (maybe you noticed the socials have been quiet) and down in the UK. The @teambmc & @bmc_southwest hosted a Bolt Inspection training down at Cheddar Gorge where Eva was able to receive some awesome training and talk data collection with @cheddarclimbingwarden .

We shared knowledge on data collection systems and issues as well as learning better and safer practices for rebolting and assessing crag health. Feeling incredibly grateful for the collaboration that is being created between Rebolting projects at the moment.

Eva also had the chance to meet with Dimi from @reboltkalymnos and discuss more data systems. It’s an often overlooked but gigantic monster the data collection aspect of Rebolting and crag health in general- but it’s what makes the whole thing flow. Learning about our material, knowing what’s what and how to tackle our problems is key! This little UK trip really confirms it can only be done as a team 💗☀️💪

If YOU want to take part the link to DONATE is in our bio! Remeber every titanium bolt 🔩 costs roughly €10 - REPORT any issues you see on the crag to the link in our bio - ASSIST, share your knowledge and skills with us! Software engineers, chemical testers, and graphic designers! We need you! 💗 DM me :))

Thanks again
Peace and love :)
Eva - yeah I wrote about myself in third person it’s more professional but if you made it to here then we’re friends now. Hugs.
