Happy to announce that, this Friday October 27th, I’ll be hosting the Eve Ladies Business Mixer.
The night promises to be engaging, entertaining, interactive and fun.

A good atmosphere for business women to network and have fun. Do well to join us, it’s Freeeee!

Eve International is a global initiative with the largest professional and social network changing the trajectory of womanhood for all Ghanaian women in Ghana and the diaspora.

There’ll be an opportunity for young ladies and women to join the association as well.

See you there.

The unfortunate spill from the Akosombo and Kpong Dam has displaced over 26,000 people and still counting.
People have been rendered homeless and livelihoods have been lost.

My heart bleeds as I record this video from Mepe one of the highly affected communities. 🥹

Salaam Alaykuum everyone!

My name is Sulwan and I am a member of the Bowdoin 2022 class. At Bowdoin I majored in GSWS and minored in Africana Studies. I was born in Sudan and grew up in Portland, Maine. I currently work for Portland Public Schools as one of the multilingual program coordinators at Lincoln Middle School. I am also a leading member for Young Muslim Sisters in Portland, Maine (all Bowdoin Muslim sisters are invited to our halaqahs)!

I aspire to work with displaced refugees and asylum seekers in my career and continue to support Muslim communities.

I look forward to being your Muslim Life Advisor this school year.

Fun facts: I love Afro-beats, I think Ghanaian jollof is the best, I enjoy studying Islamic movements in Africa, the Americas, and Asia, I was born with 12 fingers, and I will always eat South Asian food if offered to me (honestly any food)

It’s been a while and I am back. Wrote this song in my dorm room after a long day of classes! And I’m very excited to share it!

An ode to 2022🤍
To all that I was and wasn’t
To all that I became and couldn’t
To all that I did and didn’t
To all the love that engulfed it
To all the amazing people that made it all worth it
To all the blessings that were for the taking
All the lessons that came with it
To the laughter, the dance and the cheer
To everything and everyone I hold dear and near!
To an absolutely fucking lit year!
2022🥂

The devastating impact of Galamsey Operations can’t be overlooked any longer. In my reportage today, I visit Shama; a district in the Western Region of Ghana to bring to your attention how Galamsey operations is even affecting the Atlantic Ocean. What this translates is that, the fish from this part of the sea, will be dangerous to eat. Anyways, they put for more update.

Please help me Share.
